chapter 1: Stars

You looked up at the shimmering night sky. The stars glowing as you watched them in fear you would be up there one day. There was a battle going on between your clan, Shadowclan, and Riverclan.

"Can't sleep?" purred a soothing voice behind you.

You flicked your ear and turned to see your litter mate, Hazelberry.

"No. Can you promise me something?" you ask as she sits next to you.

"Of course, what is it?" she purred looking up to the stars.

"Don't die."

She looked at you and silence overcame you both.

"Y/n..." she began

"Hazelberry please. Promise you won't die!" you rose your voice

She sighed, "ok. I won't die. I couldn't leave you here alone now could I?" she purred and you nuzzled her.

"But. Even if I do die, don't linger on it. And you can't die either!"

"Ok I won't" you purred

"Good. If you do. I will personally take time to go to Starclan and beat the whiskers off of ya!" she playfully growled and you laughed as she cuffed your ear softly.

"Now. Lets go rest, we are still warriors and have much to do by sunrise." Hazelberry mewed over her shoulder, you followed her into the dark den.

Please Starclan. Let her live. Our parents where enough and so was her first litter and mate.
