"Oh and Petra," she adds, "I have all eyes and ears while you're in my house."

Grrr...

I make a sprint for my room, not even caring if these d*mn shoes cause me to roll my ankle. Luckily, I make it without any injury.

"Oh, Petra, I see you've returned. How did it-"

*GLOMP*

"Tia! Oh my goodness I- ... I need to hide you."

"Wait, what?" she chuckles, unknowing the possible danger to her. She pushes me off of her and gets up.
I immediately begins running around my room, grabbing blankets, pillows, and some stuffed toys and being piling them onto her.

"What are you doing? I'm not gonna clean up this mess for you."

"Hiding you."

"Why?"

"I just- she's... I'll stop," I end in a defeated tone. A look of concern crosses her face as I begin sluggishly moving all my crap back into the closet it all came from. Ti picks up a stuffed bear from the pile around her, walks over and grabs my hand, and drags me to my bed.

We lay there. She talks in her sweet, soothing voice memories of good times when we were younger as I lay in a daze.

"And then Jacob threw that mud ball at Elizabeth and your mom and they were so mad," she finishes with a giggle. "Your brothers are such lovely little boys."

"Y-yea," a response slips out.

"Oh, your back I see," she says as she rolls over onto her stomach, bear still pressed up against her chest.

"I... I guess," I look over at her. She really seems to like that bear. I look at her face, a lovely milk chocolatey color, sky blue eyes, freckles splattered perfectly onto her cheeks, her gorgeous, smooth, dark brown hair threathening to fall in the way of her beautiful face and sending small chunks of her cute little light blonde streaks to attack my view. "You can keep that bear if you like it."

"Awww, thanks! I'm gonna call him Mr. Snuffles!"

"Heh," I attempt to hold back my laughter but eventually fail.

"Hey! It's a cute name!" She whines playfully as she pushes me off the bed (which was inevitable due to my laughing fit). She then begins laughing herself. It's such a sweet laugh.

"Hey," I say once silence falls and the laughter ends, "my mom is-"

"Ugh don't being her up! She's such a drag to talk about! Why don't you tell me about the guy you met today! Was he cute?"

"He's a total wuss!" I blurt out as I get back onto the bed, now lying in my stomach to match her position, "but he is a pretty nice guy."

"So you were able to get some actual conversation out of this one? Wow! That's a first!"

"Oh my- shut up!" I playfully shove her a bit to the side, "Yea! What? You don't think I can talk to people without intimidating them?"

"Seems like the case with all these suitor boys."

"They're all a bunch of spoiled little pansy boys. None of them are man enough for me. In fact, I'm more of a man than a lot of them! Anyways, this kid, Lukas, he's pretty nice. He's a generic lookin' white kid, pale skin, blonde hair, blue eyes but he is pretty short. I think he's younger than me. He's got a bit of a baby face. "

"Awwww, I can see him in my head right now and he's pretty cute!"

"Eh," I grunt as I shrug my shoulders. I'm not one for cute guys. I perfer my men manly and hot. "I at least got a new friend out of it."

"Yea, true."

*Knock knock knock*

SH*T!

Tia and I immediately get into position. We've practiced this quite a lot due to the amount of trouble we'd get in by my mother if she knew we would just hang out.
The door opens swiftly as I stand with my arms out as Tia pretends to re-take my measurements for dress fitting.

"Ey Rara! You there?"

"Oh hey Tommy! How ya doin' bud!" I say excitedly as I pick up my lil bro.

"Oh hi Tomison!"

"Hi Tia!" Tommy says smiling brightly, "Rara wanna play?"

"Yea definitely bro! Is Jacob gonna play too?"

"No. Lizzy stoled him for somethin'."

"Awww, that's gotta be no fun. Ya wanna steal 'em back?"

"Yea!"

"Alrighty, let's go!"

*Knock knock knock*

UGH! WHY MUST I BE CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTED?!

"Yes?"

"Hi Nizzy. Hi Millie. JAKEY!"

"Hey Tommy! How's it going lil man!?"

"Millie!"

"Mildred."

"Sorry..."

"Hey bro! I'd knew you'd come to save me!"

"What do you want Tommy?"

"Jakey? Please?"

"Yea Lizzy, hand over your prisoner," says a voice from out of my view. The owner of the voice enters my room and it is none other than my rude, crude, unlady-like, immature older sister.

"Oh thank the heavens! Please get me outta here Petra!"

"Lizzy, why do you even want Jacob here?"

"I need someone to practice make-up on. There was no one else with my natural beauty around and I figured family was the next best thing since he is the only one that isn't the absolute worst all the time, I just stole him."

"What about Millie? She's pretty and cute."

"What about my need for someone of my level of natural beauty? She doesn't make the cut."

"Wow, rude much Liz?"

"Shut up you peasant."

"I'm not a peasant, I'm your brother. Actually, I'd rather be a peasant than be related to you."

"Same, come on Jake. Get out of that dress and meet Tommy and me in the back. Oh and Millie! You can come too if you want."

A smile spreads across her face.

"Bye witch!"

"UGH! You little git! And where do you think you're going "Millie"?"

"To freedom, you tyrant."
________

What a lovely family. I miss mine, even if I will never meet them. I at least enjoy watching Petra and her brothers play. She's got a lot of love to share. I'm glad she spreads it to the rest of her family's servants. And her heart, her mother may not see it but it is a kind one, though she needs room to spread he wings. I hope if she ever chooses to fly, she'll takes me with her.
