Bree and I jumped off the bus that stopped in front of her house and ran inside as it started to rain. Jake was inside playing video games and yelling 'Die! Die! Die!' every two seconds. I threw my bag on the ground and lifted myself onto the kitchen counter, looking through the new messages I had on my phone.
Dustin then came crashing through the door with we hair sticking to his face. He looked so cute, but I tried to maintain my normal expression.
"Your wet." I chuckled at him as he flipped his drenched, now a darker brown colored hair, to get it out of his face.
Dustin stood there staring at me angrily, not saying a word. I have to say, it was starting to scare me.
"What? Quit staring at me like that." I looked down, then back up to see he was still staring, which was really more like glaring now. "What!"
He took one more look at me then scowled, walking down the stairs to his room. I looked over at JAke and Bree who were looking at the stairs with confused faces. They then looked at me with the 'what was that about' face.
I shrugged. "I have no idea."
Just then, Todd came bashing through the door, soaking wet and out of breath. And I mean soaking wet.
We all laughed. "What happened to you?"
He leaned down and tried to catch his breath. "Girls...Chasing me....Almost died....Help." He fell backwards and I jumped off the counter and caught him, still laughing.
"Well, you are the hottest guy in school." Bree said. "Or well..The second hottest guy in school."
"If I wasn't...Suffocating..Right now....You'd by dead." Todd fianlly caught his breath and he stood up, sitting on the top part of the couch. "I hate girls."
I jumped onto the top part too, sitting next to him. "Hey!" Bree and I said in sync.
"What about your girlfriend? I'm telling her you said you hate her." I said.
"Tea isn't my girlfriend."
"Not yet." I said, poking his side. He slapped my hand away and I chuckled. "So...How are you gunna ask her?"
Todd shrugged. "I don't know. I don't want to straight out ask her and yet I don't want to over-do it when I do say it."
I shrugged too. "Here, pretend I'm Tea." I straighten up my posture and puffed out my chest while smiling.
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to imitate Tea. She has giant boobs." I paused and looked at Todd. "Ohhh, that's why you like her, huh?"
Todd slapped me and I fell backwards, so my feet were on the part of the couch where my back should be and my head hung off the edge. "No! That's not why! Are we gunna do this for real, or what?"
I nodded and Todd helped me back up. I smiled. Todd puffed out a breath and took my hands in his.
"Tea?" He said.
I smiled wider. "Yes?" I tried imitating her small spanish accent, but it turned out funny, so I went back to my normal tennesseean one.
"Will you be my---"
Dustin then came up the stairs. He looked from me, to Todd, who was holding my hands, our fingers intertwined. He scowled and slid on his shoes. "I'm going for a walk." He mumbled before slamming the door, leaving us with more confused expressions on our face.
"Should I go see what's wrong?" I voulenteered, getting up from the couch.
"Nah, he's probably just cranky." Bree said.
