The drive to Kentucky was long and boring. At rest stops, the group filled up on snacks and refreshments. At around 2:42 a.m. one morning Briana got a text.
Across the Nation.
A city near a raging blue.
A city swept into ruins long ago.
She showed the text to Ethan and he immediately said, "Dang, some poet he is.". Briana agreed and started to think about it.
Across the Nation huh? So, that must mean Oregon? Or California... A city near a raging blue, so by the ocean...and a city swept by ruins long ago... Briana thought. She showed the rest of the group at another rest stop about a hour later and all if them thought about it. " So, across the nation? So on the Pacific side." Ethan said. "A city near a raging blue, so its by the ocean." Tobi said. "But what about "A city swept by ruins long ago"?" Tobi asked. "Let's think about it on the way, can we?" Ethan asked. "Why?" May asked. "Him" Ethan replied and pointed to a man. He looked like the man from the restaurant. Briana cussed and they attempted to sneak past him. It failed and he glanced at them, shouted to some people outside the stop, pulled out a gun, and started to fire at them. Briana took out her stun gun, and fired at one of the thugs. He fell to the ground, paralyzed. "Got one!" Briana shouted excitingly. "Nice! Now run!" Tobi yelled as he ran to one of the thugs, punched him in the face, and took his gun. "Where'd you learn that?" Briana shouted as they bursted through the door, towards the car. "Ex-Marine! Remember?" Tobi shouted. Briana opened that door as fast as lighting as Ethan jumped in. May ran for the front seat. Tobi jumped in the drives seat and started the car. As soon as everyone was in, Tobi floored it out of there. "Well, wasn't that relaxing." Ethan said through pants. "Yep, super relaxing." May said sarcastically. "Where do we go?" Briana asked. "Until we figure oh that puzzle, we're not goin anywhere." Tobi said. "Then let's figure it out." Briana said, determined.
