"They're letting a mudblood try out for the quidditch team?" Draco scoffed as the Slytherin first years walked up the Astronomy Tower stairs for their midnight Astronomy class. "I swear, Dumbledore is the worst thing that has happened to this school."
"For your information, Dumbledore had no say in whether I could try out or not, only the captain of the team could say if I could. And Flint said I could try out, so you can't blame Dumbledore for this one." Nadia called back, rolling her eyes at his ignorance. If he liked quidditch so much, he would have known that only the captain could say yes or no to a person trying out for the team.
"But it's not like you'll make the team anyway, you don't even know how to fly properly." Pansy sneered, backing up Draco. Nadia stopped at the top of the stairs before turning to their groups, the two leaders standing in the same stance as her with their arms crossed over their chests and a smirk on their lips.
"I did pretty well today, didn't I? If you're so good at flying, where are your personal invitations to try out for the team as a first year?" A chorus of "Ooh's!" were heard from her fellow first years, in all houses. She jutted out her chin in victory as the smirks were wiped clean off of Draco's and Pansy's faces.
"Enough, you three. Five points each will be taken from Slytherin for your inability to keep your quarrels out of the classroom. If you fail to do that, I will be forced to give you detentions." Professor Sinistra said as she walked over to the circle of students that had surrounded Nadia's, Draco's, and Pansy's friend groups.
"Sorry, Professor." Nadia apologized, "I'm sure they'll try harder to keep their mouths shut next time," She turned to walk over to where her friends had dispersed, the biggest smiles on their faces. "What are you so giddy about, I just cost us fifteen points."
"Nothing." The three said in unison. Nadia raised an eyebrow in question at her friends. She shook her head as she set her things down next to theirs before turning back to the Astrology Professor.
She was still upset that even the kids in her own house couldn't be happy for her. It wasn't a secret that the Gryffindors were over the moon joyful that Harry was now on the house team. But then again, she didn't survive an attack from the darkest wizard known to date.

Nadia, Stella, Amelia, and Iridessa entered Flitwick's charms class and took their usual seats, the top row behind Malfoy and his goons. Iridessa and Nadia continued talking about the map Victoria had given the Granger girl.
"Are you sure it's a legitimate map? It's been leading us astray every day." Dessa asked, spreading out her books and quills on her desk equally.
"I don't think Victoria would do that to me, she knows the struggles of being a muggleborn in Slytherin." Nadia reasoned, defending their sixth year prefect.
"The key word being Slytherin." Nadia's sister interrupted, leaning over Draco's desk. "Even Slytherins can't trust each other."
"And how would you know?" Iridessa defended her friend. Nadia couldn't tear her eyes away from Hermione. She couldn't believe that Hermione was treating her like that.
"And they call Slytherin the meanest house." Nadia sighed, "You don't even know what we were talking about. Just go, Mione."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Hermione snapped, narrowing her eyes towards Nadia.
