Chapter 4 "Denny's?"

Jayna's POV
I woke up at 6 am. I have to catch my flight in about 2 hours so I better get going. I get dressed and grab my volley ball bag and walk outta my room. Corey is just sitting by the Island drinking coffee reading the gazette. He acts like such an old man... I say bye to Corey and walk out the door. I get to my car and drive to the Chicago O'Hare International Airport. As soon as I arrive I see Artemi.

Artemi's POV
When I go to air port to pick up friend Viktor I see Jayna. I wonder where she is going?
"Hey Jayna. How are you today?"
"Hello Artemi! I'm great. Yourself?" She asks me.
"What?" I say because I cannot understand her
"How are you? I'm sorry"
"No it fine. I'm great I'm just picking up my friend Viktor!"
"That's great! Well I got to go. I'm leaving to Toronto for the day but I'll be back later tonight."
"Oh okay, safe travels!"
"Thank you" she says as she starts walking to the her gate
"WAITT!!" I yell at her as she looks back.
"Yes Artemi?"
"Can I have you number? I would like to hang out some time"
"Yes of course!" She says as I feel relieved
After she gives me her number she walks to her gate and gets on her plane to Toronto. I can't wait to hang with her.

Jayna's POV
I get on my plane and get ready for the 2 hour plane ride to Toronto. When I get there I am going to meet up with Kasperi and maybe have lunch and go to practice. The usual. But for now sleep! When we arrive in Toronto it's about 10:30 so I call up Kasperi to pick me up. When I get off the plane I wait for my bags and go to the front gate to wait for Kasperi. As I was texting Corey to ask him to pick up my uniform someone gives me a big bear hug. Scared the shit out of me tbh. I look up and see Kasperi's big smile:) I see Will behind him and give him a hug too! I've missed my boys💖 We walk to Kases Car and I get in the front seat because William is a gentleman. Just kidding I beat him to the front seat... We decide to go for lunch, where we all met. Luci Restaurant, it's bamy favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto.

Kasperi's POV
We finally have our girl back and I can't wait to eat at Luci's... I haven't eaten there in ages! But I'm glad we are all together, Jayna is so beautiful and kind and funny and caring. She's also a great workout partner too! Ever since she told me she likes me I just cannot stop thinking about her.

William's POV
We get to Luci's and as soon as we get there we get our regular table and order our drinks. Jayna gets water, I get a bud light and Kas gets an Iced Tea. Me and Kasperi order steak, Cesar salad and baked potatoes, while Jayna gets a Greek salad with garlic toast. Pfft she's so healthy.....

After volleyball practice I decide to go back to Chicago, when I get home I fall right asleep.

Jayna's POV
When I wake up I check my phone and see I got a text from Artemi.

Artemi- Goodmorning Jayna! I was wondering if you want to go for brunch or something?

Jayna- yes! I would love too. Where would you like to meet?

Artemi- Denny's?

Jayna- sounds great, meet you there in half an hour.

Jayna's POV
I get up and shower. After my shower I French braid my hair, and grab some clothes. I decide on a pair of dark skinny jeans, fuzzy socks, uggs and a Team Canada Volleyball sweater. I throw my Black Helly Hansen jacket on and grab my purse and keys. I say bye to Corey and go to my car, I get to Denny's right in time and I see Artemi sitting in a booth. The waiter asks if I'm looking for someone and I tell her who. Right away she scoffs at me and directs me to him. Pretty nice waitress i'd say!

Artemi's POV
When I see Jayna I smile right away, she's so beautiful its unreal. Her long brown hair is in a messy French braid and her outfit looks great on her. Once she sits down she begins to take off her jacket. Wow, those team Canada sweaters are pretty nice..

Jayna's POV
When I sit down me and Artemi begin to talk about volleyball and hockey, when the waitress comes up she starts batting her eyes at Artemi, he orders and then she leaves. He kinda just looks confused, so he calls her back and she plays the whole "I'm sorry, I just couldn't focus. It must be because your so nice and sweet. I'm very sorry" I kinda just smirk and give her my order. She stays for a couple minutes talking to Artemi, I just text Corey telling him in out for lunch. When she finally leaves we continue to talk about my back round and growing up with Corey, and I ask him questions about growing up in Russia. He didn't really want to say much but that's okay. After brunch the boys had practice so Artemi invited me to go with him, when we get there I see Corey's look on his face, it's not a happy one. I don't think he likes me hanging out with his team mates but whatever!

Artemi's POV
When me and Jayna finish brunch we decide to go to the rink. Corey is kinda giving Jayna this mad look, I don't know what about though. We get on the ice and coach Q decided that Corey was going to run practice today. I was okay with it until he told me I "have to work on my skating" he makes me skate laps all practice while the other guys did simple drills. What was that all about?

Corey's POV
I decided instead of talking to Artemi about going on a date with my sister without asking, he should just do laps. Hopefully it will get through his thick skull that none of the guys can date my sister.

Jayna's POV
Corey's being a jerk, he made Artemi skate laps ALL practice! Then afterwords he tells me that's what he gets for taking me out without Corey's permission. I start yelling at him not caring that I'm going to make a scene
"YOU NEVER LET ME BE FRIENDS WITH ANYONE, ALL THIS TIME IVE BEEN LOCKED UP IN THIS CAGE. AND YOURE STILL NOT LETTING ME BE MYSELF, YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK YOU COREY. FUCKKKK YOUUU" I said with tears in my eyes.

Corey's POV
"JAYNA, JAYNA , JAY!!!! Don't leave!!"
Where is she going? What have I done? What am I going to do? I've been trying to keep her away from all of them for years and now that they know I still act like its a secret. What is wrong with me?

Artemi's POV
"What just happened?" I ask Kaner
"Bro I don't know, it sounds like she needs someone, go run after her and help her" I nod my head and try to catch her. She's balling her eyes out I just grab her and pull her into a hug. She needs somewhere to stay. Maybe I'll ask Duncan if she can stay with him and the girls fer a bit, since she and Keith are pretty close. I call Duncs and he says sure, he tells Corey that she's staying with him and he's surprisingly okay with that. Toews asks Corey to go out for lunch and talk while I took Jayna to Corey's house to get some of her stuff. Then I take her to Keith's to stay with him and the girls.

Jayna's POV
Thank god for Duncan, he's the only one who's known about me for a very long time and we've gotten pretty close, especially me and his girl.
