Chapter 9

Riley's P.O.V

"So, how was your 'date' ?" mom asked. "Mum, it wasn't a date." i said trying to hide my face. "Mhm. Than why are you blushing?" she said starring at me. "I'm NoT!" i said walking upstairs. "I'm Going to bed. Good night." 

When I got in my room, I plopped on my bed. 

I couldn't stop thinking about Liam kissing my cheek. 

Than I heard my phone go off. I grabbed my phone from off my nightstand and saw it was a text from Liam. 

'* Hey. I had fun tonight. Maybe we could hangout again some time...?" 

'* Sure. I had fun to. Thanks for a great night.

'* No problem. x

I was so tired all I could do was sleep for a year. But not a year.... you know what I mean. I walked over to my closet, grabbed my towel and walked to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw sand all over me, so I turned on the shower to hot water, and jumped in.

I didn't want to get out of the shower because it was warm I didn't want to get out at all. Especially because I have thoughts all around my head. So I sat down, had my knees to my chest, and just let the hot water stream on me. I couldn't stop thinking. I wasn't sure if  he was having me like him, and think he'll be nicer... or anything. I'm just gonna forget about everything today. Tomorrow when we go back to school, I'm still gonna avoid him. Even though after tonight, I know he'll act different once he's with his friends. He always does.

"Honey? Are you okay?" mom shouted from behind the door. 

"Yes mum. I'm fine. I just want to be alone for now, okay?" i said. 

"Alright sweetie let me know if y-" then i heard her voice travel off. 

"What mum? I couldn't hear you?" "Mum?" i said while turning the shower off and drying off. 

I walked out the bathroom and back into my bedroom to change.

"Mum?" i said walking down the stairs. 

She wasn't in her room, in the living room, the dining room, outside, or in the kitchen. 

I quickly ran up the stairs to grab my phone. I quickly dialled her number. 

"C'mon mum. Pick up your phone. Pick up your phone please." i said worrying.

"Hello?" a mans voice said. 

"W-Who's this?"

"None of your buisness. Your mom can't come to the phone. If you need to talk to her, you tell me."

"Who are you!? WHERE'S MY MOM?"

"NONE OF YOUR BUISNESS! YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT OR YOU WON'T SEE HER!"

than the phone beeped. He hung up.

Where is she? Who was that?

Oh god....

No..

No.

This can't be happening..

NO!

I ran downstairs and fell to the ground. "NO MUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted. 

I heard banging on the door. 

I ran to the door hoping it was her. 

It was Liam

"what do you want!?!" i said.

"What's wrong?" he asked. 

"My mum is missing." i sobbed. 

"What? S-she's missing?! How!?!" he asked. 

"I don't know.. You have to go. I need to find her." i said.

"No. I'll help you find her." he said pullling my into a hug.
