Author's Note

Okay... I knew that it took longer than usual but I was kind of sidetracked. In the end, I spend most of my time writing the final chapter, which will not be up till much later~

Back to this chapter, I know I say that I will not be writing about Izana for two chapters but ... i just changed my mind. So this chapter will be a tad longer than usual since I had to squeeze everything in one chapter. This is btw the unedited version... If it is really bad, please message me~ I will rewrite it again :D

Unedited version

It has been almost a month since I left Clarines for home and thankfully this trip was busy enough to push Izana's confession to the back of my mind. The short trip was a whole new adventure by itself with one thing came up after another. Immediately after arriving reached the nostalgic castle, a group of assailants ambushed us, resulting a new long deep gash on me and a long lecture from my adorable maid, Alice. However thanks to the welcome party, I was able to obtain a vital evidence from them; with it and my hidden bandaged arm, I appeared before my dear uncle and was finally able to strip him off his title and exiled him.

And of course, I did not forget my dear guests and the expected interrogation I will be receiving. Meeting them at the garden where a picnic was prepared for them, the reaction I received from my jet black hair when I appeared before them was hilarious. Before my meeting with uncle, Alice had practically shoved me into the tub and washed off the blond dye with some remedy, thus the return of my lovely black hair.

"Why did you hide your identity? Did brother know about this?"

"This journey was a test to prove that I am a worthy successor of the throne and no, Prince Izana does not and will not know about it." With my dominant arm injured, I started relying on my left arm however the fluid movement from that arm stunned the guests who looked on in amazement. Since young, I was taught to ambidextrous from my earliest memories. Although my preference was my right hand, however my left was equally good in my daily activities from writing to swordfighting.

They continued to stare at my left arm as i took a sip of my tea while dully told my side of the story, it was as though they were expecting some mechanism in place. Casting a grin at Alexios and Louis who were sulking by my side, I was glad I drag them along to this Q&A session push some questions to them. After the commotion with uncle, I caught the escaping prince and his subordinate who heard the request of audience from our guests.

"So that's why you need to come with Zen for refusing the marriage proposal."

"Quick as usual, Kiki," Giving her a toast with my teacup, I grinned mischievously at the beautiful swordswoman. As expected from Kiki, her mind work so fast, I would want to headhunt her but she would reject it for a certain someone. Leaning back against the tree lazily, I stared at the swordswoman and realized that she was my ideal example of a noble lady. Her beauty, intelligence and skills were a given but underneath those lies a kind and passionate heart under a cool cover and I am envious of her as a fellow lady. "If I don't come along, who are you going to turn the proposal down to?"

"I can't believe that you are the princess." Mitsuhide broke the long silence by repeating the information that everyone knew and his master rolled his eyes as a response. Snickering at his comment, I reached for a snack as everyone fell stunned at his next remark. "But on the other hand, I shouldn't be surprise..."

"Why not?"

"Don't you find her similar to Prince Izana?" With Mitsuhide's serious reply to Zen's question, everyone at the table began to stare at me as though I was a new species as I froze with a cookie in hand.
