Chapter 11: True Feelings

Lifting my heavy lids the morning light peeked through the heavy curtains, and the first scene in my eyes was Shirayuki examining my chest. Lifting my head up slightly to look around, it seemed like another usual day... NOT!!!

Hitting my head back to the pillow, the scene of Izana's late night visit repeated itself in my mind. My heart sink as every minute pass, knowing that the time for his departure is getting closer. Should I go? Or maybe not...

"Go to him," As though reading my mind, Shirayuki immediately dragged me out of bed and push me towards the door with all her might. "He is leaving in 15 mins."

"What are-"

"You love Prince Izana, right?!" My hesitation seemed to set her off as the cheerful girl suddenly snapped at me. Seeing my stunned expression, her face turned beet red at her own sudden outburst and awkwardly apologize for it. When I thought the conversation has ended, she popped out a simple question that dumbfound me. "What are you scared off?"

"It's-"

"You can lie to me, but are you able to lie to your own heart?" Shirayuki's words hit me like a punch, heavy enough to realise that I am a fool. No matter how much I want to distance myself from him, the love for him will never disappear so why not just accept and enjoy the moment till it last. Grabbing my new coat and with a grin, I dashed out of the room to meet my Prince Charming. I pushed myself as my stomach started aching in protest for my empty stomach but I have no time to waste. Please please God please let me be on time. Making the last turn, I sprinted the last stretch and slowed down as I reached the crowded gate.

All chatters stopped at my sudden appearance, I took deep breaths to calm my racing heart while approaching the crowd. My eyes were on him as I made forward with the crowd making way for me. 

"Why are you here?! Are you feeling better? You should be resting." With a deep frown, the charming prince started nagging at me as soon as I reached him. With his hands busy pulling my coat tighter around me, Izana continued on lecturing me about coming out in the cold wearing only a coat over my nightwear. Except for Haki and her maids who were glaring at me, everyone's jaw hit the ground at his overreaction. 

I could not helping chuckling when he finally released the royal blue cloak and nodding in satisfaction with his work. How can anyone be so adorable yet attractive at the same time. This will really spoil his image though, not that I mind. 

Taking a deep breath to boost my confidence, I initiated a hug for the first time and thankfully he went along with me gleefully. My plan was to actually confessed my feelings right now but judging from the crowd... I think it can wait for a while. My courage disappeared as I became conscious about the intense stares and glares from the crowd. 

"... Be careful." As my face heated up, I lowered my face from his view and quickly whispered my farewells. Once done, I immediately pushed him away to put some distance but he would obviously choose to defiantly tightened his grip. 

"It's manners to look at someone when you are talking right?" Despite his seductive whisper, there is no way I am going to show him my blushing knowing that he will tease me. However I should have know well enough that the more I resist, the more he wanted to do it. Ultimately with a firm yet gentle hold on my warm cheek, he lifted my face in full view to his amusement and it was obvious that someone is enjoying this. "It's been a long time since I see this sight... I really missed this adorable red face."

Before I could shoot back, his face suddenly enlarged in front of me, making me hold my breath on reflex. Not only everything happened in a split second, the kiss itself was so light and gentle that I had thought it was my imagination, if it was not for Zen's and Obi's cheering from the crowd. Including me, the others stood there petrified as the stupid prince took the chance to flee. Damn that... Burying my face in my hands, I want to wipe that smirk off that pervert's face!
