Once, Brianna tried to persuade Derek and Laura into letting her into a eating competition with the pair of them.
The competition was pretty straight forward. Each group of three would have to eat five bags of spicy Cheetos each, an extremely large pizza between the forum and finally an ice-cream sundae to top it all off. The reason Brianna wanted to participate in said competition was because Derek and Laura wouldn't give her enough money to buy the phone she wanted, and the prize money would be more than enough.
Convincing Derek and Laura to eat all of the rounds was actually easier than explaining to sheriff Stilinski that Matt is the murderer and not Harris. Because that shit is hard.
Sheriff Stilinski's arms grew wide in desperation after listening to mostly Stiles try to explain the situation without involving the supernatural. "What do you want me to do?"
"We need to look at the evidence." Scott stated.
"Yeah, that would be in the station, where I no longer work."
"Trust me, they'll let you in." Stiles comforted his father slightly. It didn't work.
Sheriff Stilinski rose an eyebrow to mock his son. "Trust you?"
"Trust-" Stiles began. He cranes his head to see Brianna and Scott, the blonde waving sarcastically at the two boys in front of her. "Trust Brianna and Scott?"
The eldest mans eyes stopped being narrowed at his son as his facial expression grew calm. "Them I trust."
The golden group of three were driven to the sheriffs station by the sheriff himself. Brianna was still intent on calling him the sheriff since she was determined to get his job back. If they could find a connection to Matt and the murders then that could help them on their way to regain his job.
While the sheriff spoke to the women at the desk, Brianna slightly listened to Scott and Stiles. She was more focused on why Matt would want her dead than anything. She hadn't done anything to him. Or Jackson. She just could not find a connection, but that's what she hoped she would find that night.
When they arrived in Stilinski's office they immediately began watching the security footage at the hospital. They was watching the night that the pregnant women had been killed since it would have to be Matt that killed her. Jackson killed her husband but Brianna truly believed that he couldn't kill the mother since that what happened to his own. It made quite a lot of sense.
"I don't know, guys." Sheriff Stilinski sighed. "I mean, look at this. There was a six car pileup that night, the hospital was jammed."
"Alright, just keep going." Stiles insisted. "Look, he had to have passed one of the cameras on that floor to get to Jessica, okay? He's gotta be on the footage somewhere."
After watching another few minutes worth of footage, Scott's eyes widened. "Oh, hold on, stop! Did you see that? Scroll back."
"That's him! That's Matt!" Stiles exclaimed after his father scrolled back a little.
Brianna rolled her eyes. How could an evil mastermind like Matt walk past a bloody security camera on the way to kill somebody? Maybe he's not such a mastermind after all. Even Brianna, who had never killed anybody in her life nor would she ever want to, knew that if she were to kill somebody she would be a little more discreet about it. Or turn of the security cameras like they do in movies.
"All I see is the back of someone's head." Sheriff Stilinski scoffed.
"Matt's head, yeah." Stiles nodded. "I sit behind him in history. He's got a very distinct cranium, it's weird."
