Luci's POV-
I looked around till I saw a large piece of wood floating in the water.
"there's something guys" I said pointing to the wood.
"i’ll get it!" I heard Liam shout as he dove in after it. it was pretty good size piece of wood and could hold all of us but we had to keep still or we would rock it and tip it over. we had been floating for what felt like hours and I was dozing off on Harry's chest when I heard louis scream and yell out
"I see land guys!" I woke up instantly and looked to where Louis was pointing and saw a nice good sized piece of land and was suddenly relieved a bit. That is I heard a panicked Niall hollar
"Zayn, sit down!" I looked over before we were all tipped over and into the water.
"Help me!" Zayn. screamed in fear. That's when I remembered. Zayn can't swim!
"here Liam, hold her." I was passed to Liam who held onto my waist while Harry dove down into the water. Moments passed till Harry resurfaced taking a deep breath and pushing an unconscious Zayn back on the wood.
"I think he hit his head on a piece of rubbish from the plain and that's what knocked him out." Harry said breathlessly. I looked around frantically. I don't know CPR.
"Anyone know CPR?" I asked. Niall's eyes widened.
"I do!" he hollard jumping back on the wood.
"he's still breathing just knocked out." he said looking at him confused.
"how did he not swallow any water while we were under here?" Harry asked.
"I guess you got to him as soon as he was knocked out and he didn’t have time to swallow any." Liam said lifting me back on the wood and climbing back on himself.
"well maybe once we get to land we can discuss this but for now we need to get on land so this doesn't happen again" Louis said also climbing back on the wood leaving Harry the only one in the water.
"its getting dark and the water is cold so Lou is right, everyone carefully paddled to land I guess" Harry said starting to push the wood towards the land.
"aren't you gonna get on mate you said the water was cold and we all agree its cold." Niall asked looking confused at Harry.
"no I'm gonna push it'll be faster." Harry said continuing to push. In no time we landed on the shore where Louis carried Zayn and laid him down on the beach.
"wow this place is amazing but it looked deserted." Harry said wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek.
"let's just go to sleep and we'll figure out everything tomorrow" Liam said laying down in the sand. I was tired and cold. I suddenly felt Harry drap his jacket over my shoulders and lay down pulling me down with him. I snuggled up to him as he wrapped my arms around me pulling me impossibly closer. I felt a sudden warm as I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep.
Zayn's POV-
I woke up with a bad headache.
"I just had a horrible dream that we were going on vacation and the plain crashed and I drowned." I said sitting up groaning from the pain.
"You've gotta be kidding me" I said noticing everyone asleep on a deserted beach. Louis stirred in his sleep and I heard him mumble something but all I understood was 'eleanor' which made me think of perrie. I promised I would fall her when we landed. I pulled out my phone but it was soaked and not working. Great just great. I threw my phone across the beach where it accidently hit Niall.
"owww" Niall moaned looking around and spotting me.
"what did I do" he asked rubbing his head sleepily where the phone hit him.
"I'm so sorry mate it was an accident I was annoyed because my phone wasn't working and I promised Perrie I would call her" I said quickly
"so you threw your phone at a innocent little leprechaun?" Louis asked waking up.
"no I didn't mean to hit him I just threw it and it just so happened to hit him" I said looking at Niall sadly. Niall busted out laughing.
"we know you wouldn't do it on purpose we were messing with you" Louis laughed get up and stretching. By then we were all awake. Luci walked over to me and sat down beside me.
"how are you feeling?" she asked worried.
"I'm fine I just have a headache that's all." I told her and smiled. "I'm just glad you’re okay Zayn." she said hugging me.
"Okay who wants to look for food and who wants to look for firewood?" Liam asked.
"I'll look for food" Niall volunteered happily.
"I'll help him" Harry suggested.
"okay then me and Louis will find firewood and Luci can you stay here with Zayn?" Liam said looking at me and Luci.
"of course Li." she said with a cute smile. No Zayn don't do this, not now. I know this is not the time to resurface old feelings I had bottled up for her. I had Perrie now and she was happy with Harry. I couldn't help but feel a little bit pained when I saw her kissing and cuddling Harry. but there isn't anything I can do and I would hate to be the went to such a cute relationship so I pushed it to the back of my mind.
"Zayn? mate are you okay?" I was snapped out of my thoughts Louis yelling and waving his hand in my face.
"wha- oh yeah I'm fine I was just thinking of Perrie" I lied.
"oh well you need to stay here with Luci so she can keep an eyes on you to make sure you’re okay from yesterday" Liam said as they all went off on their hunt for food and firewood. Keep an eyes on me? What am I five? I can watch myself. I went to stand up but felt a sharp pain in the back of my head and fell back down to the ground on top of Luci.
"sorry" I said quickly and got off her.
"maybe you should lay down for a bit. wait what's that?" she squinted her eyes to look off down the shore line. I looked down and it looked like maybe some sorry of luggage.
"I don't know it looks like luggage" I said looking in that direction.
"oh my god it is luggage! stay here i’ll go get it" she said running off to get it. I layed back on my back feeling useless.
