He took her to the library first watching her bounce around and take out books, he watched her flip through them with interest. She seemed lost in the story before snapping it closed and setting it on the pile of books. He enjoyed watching her, she seemed to enjoy the quiet place where she could just read. He glances at the librarian who had a smile watching Parker read, she was an old woman with long white hair and thick glasses on her nose. She looked happy that someone had entered the library, it was almost empty and the only other people in it where looking through magazines.
Parker dragged her pile to the front dest a grin on her face, the woman slowly scanned them offering her a library card. Parker looked at her like she had just proposed to her, grinning and filling out the paper work. The librarian put the books in a sturdy bag and handed them to her.
"Come again" she smiled to Parker.
"I will!" Parker waved back to her, she had a grin on her face happily gripping back into his arm and walking to the tattoo parlor.
"Where do you want to go after this?" He watched her pause and stare at him, she was surprised that he wanted to spend more time with her but she wasn't going to say no to his offer.
"Can we pick up Shikadai from school?" She watched a small smile grace his features, he enjoyed the thought of her caring for his beloved nephew.
"Of course" the smile was gone as fast as it came, she secretly missed it.
They walked to a nice clean shop that was obviously meant for tattoos as they went to the counter. A man looking to be in his early 50's with a mustache and beard inquires her appearance.
"So you're the girl that everyone's been talking about, I have to admit your tattoos do look good" he cupped his chin in thought and looked over her "so what are you looking for today?"
She grins to him and slaps her hand over her bare thigh "fierce tiger, I want it to look like it could come from my leg at any moment and devour you" she gives him a smug look, excited to see what the man would come up with.
He grins back at her, looking delighted for the challenge "You got it kid" he laughs showing her to the chair and gathering his equipment, she placed herself into it leaving Gaara in the waiting room "So is there any reason you want this one?" He tried to start a conversation with her, as they normally did but they never tried to dig into her life at all. It was an interesting change.
"It's for my friend, she is.." She paused trying to think of the right words "not with us anymore"
"Well I'm sorry kid, it's always hard to lose a friend" he frowns dipping his needle in the ink and turning it on. The buzzing rang through the room, calming her jittery nerves.
"Where you from?" He keeps talking, seeming as if he thinks that if he had conversations with her that she wouldn't feel the needle.
"Far away" she chirps trying not to give out too much information.
"Ah, you're one of those 'keep to yourself' type people" he chuckles "I respect that"
"So people are talking about me?" She smiles to him, slightly amused that she had managed to get people interested.
"They're talking about how you have lord Gaara wrapped around your finger" he frowns "frankly I don't care much for those rumors, if you're happy with him and he's happy with you I don't think our tattoos and piercings should matter to anyone" he grumbles, he hated that they never stopped with the rumors. He didn't see the problem with tattoos, after all he gave them to people.
"Lord Gaara?" Her voice was surprised as her eyebrows were furrowed together in confusion.
"Oh? You don't know about that? Sorry girly but it's not my place to tell you then" he sighs, the rest of the tattoo was made in silence. The only noise was the buzzing of the needle.
The tattoo was relatively raw as he washed it down with soap and placed a large cloth bandage over it, she was happy with how it came out. It wasn't as large as Amanda's was but it was just as beautiful. Hers was all the way down her back, looking as if it was just wandering.
Parker stood from the chair, a dull throbbing in her thigh as she walked to the counter ready to pay. He waved her off, a grin on his face.
"You don't need to pay, I like you, and I think you can prove that looks don't hinder anyone's ability" he ran his fingers through his hair, she understood what he meant. He wanted her to show people that no matter how much steel she had in her face, how much writing she had on her body that she was capable of doing anything.-------
"¡Voy a!"
