Good morning, afternoon or evening and welcome, ladies and gentlemen. You might want to sit down as I am about to share with you a story. Now, this story isn't as legendary or as awesome as the stories in the past that I could go on and on and on about and choose to tell you about. Those were there, but they aren't anymore, just distant memories that don't have much meaning any longer. I can't remember the sparkles in their eyes or the silly grins, plastered on their faces, I can't remember the conversations we had at the dead of night or the thoughts that kept us up at night. I can't remember the long drives, and the exciting times we all had in my garage just chain smoking, eating cold pizza and laughing, but what I can remember is this; I learned nothing. I may have grown from having this amazing group of friends and they may have grown as well, and as much fun as it is, we've all got to move on one time or another, and that's why I'm choosing this story to tell. It teaches you that you do have to move on, it teaches you that sometimes life isn't what you expected, it teaches you about your first car, your first night out, your first fight, your first mistake and your first love. This story, although it may be long and boring at some points, it's also fun, daring, exciting, frustrating, stressful and relatable. So that's why I have decided to share with you this one. It's a long story and I hope you stick with me until the end because who knows, you may find the answers you need. I know I certainly did. So ladies and gentleman, bring it together for this crazy story, from start to finish as I start off this little tale on the day before I began to learn everything I now know today.

Sometimes... Life sucks.
But yannknow, right now I should start counting my blessings. I mean, I have a license, a car, some great friends. It's Tenaya's birthday today and she invited us over for the party so I'll get to see Jory again, Jaxen will probably be there as well. It's my senior year and I'll be getting out of this hell hole soon. I have a job, food on my table, clothes on my back, it's not all bad.
I pulled up to Sam's house and I texted her to let her know I was here. I waited patiently, humming along to the music when she got into the car.
"Hey."
"Hey, how are you?"
"Fucking exhausted," Sam responded, putting on her seat belt, correctly unlike I did. I put the strap behind my back. "How about you?"
"Eh. I feel like this party would be better if I could drink. I really need to get drunk. It's been awhile."
Sam just laughed. "Sucks being the Designated Driver, huh?"
"Yeah, it really does." I snorted, driving off in the direction of Cole and Aidans.
Sam lived on the corner between two elementary schools and a church. Cole and Aidan lived on the other side of the school. Not too far, barely even a minutes drive. Cole and Aidan were best friends. Aidan moved in with Cole and his family when his mother moved to Bonneville. No way in hell was Aidan leaving with her, so Cole's family decided to take him in.
"Hey," Aidan said quietly as he got into the car.
