It was another bright and cheery day in the land of Parisila. Our story takes place in a humble village in the rustic countryside with a girl named Marinette. Marinette lived a simple life, working at the local bar in town with her best friend, Alya and working for the wealthy and stuck-up Bourgeois family, well mostly for Mayor Bourgeois's two daughters, Chloe and Sabrina. Marinette worked for them ever since her parents passed away from a deadly disease that swept through the kingdom ten years ago, claiming over half of its population. Marinette was only a little girl, but now she is a kind and compassionate person toward others.

Now on this faithful day, Marinette was walking into town to start her shift at the bar. Half way into it, a member of the royal court, Monsieur Peacock, walks in with a new over coat covered in peacock feathers. Alya leaned over to Marinette and whispered,

"Don't look now but, Monsieur Peacock is flaunting a new ugly coat."

Marinette snickered and said, "Alya! That's not very nice."

"Right, the bird would be insulted."

"ALYA" shouted Marinette but, she couldn't help but laugh.

Monsieur Peacock looked over at the girls with a confused glance but dismissed it as nothing.

*Time skip*

Evening finally came and Alya closed the bar down and waved good bye to Marinette, who was making a quick stop at a very special place.

Marinette entered a small clearing at little ways from the town and on the ground were two gravestones. One said, " Sabine Dupain-Cheng, a loving mother and dear friend. The other said, "Tom Dupain-Cheng, a funny father and loyal playmate."

"Hello Papa, Hello Mama. It's been awhile since I last visited."

Marinette placed the bundle of flowers she had picked along the way. And with that done she walked toward the place she called home but didn't feel like it. Somtimes it was hard being so kind to everyone especially to Chloe and Sabrina, who treated her like peasant scum. When Marinette finished writing in her dream journal, she smiled to herself saying,"It's going to be a new day tomorrow and maybe I might meet someone who will become special to me." And with that saying she fell asleep.

A roaster crowed signaling the start of a new day. Marinette woke up immediately to the sound of bells ringing, telling her that either Sabrina or Chloe is going to start yaking in her ear telling her what to do.

*3 hours later*

Marinette finally finished her duties with the sisters and the making of breakfast. Since it was Alya's birthday today and Marinette had some extra time before her shift, she made some chocolate chip cookies, knowing that Alya loved her sweets. Unfortunately, Marinette had to sacrifice four because Sabrina and Chloe wanted some too. Good thing Marinette made sixteen, since that's how old Alya is now, so she easily gave them up. On her way to town however was a disaster. She was walking across the street toward the bar when a brute force knocked her to the ground but due to her amazing skills, Marinette saved the cookies. There was a loud neigh from a horse as it reared back, threatening to buck of its rider. It's rider was a handsome young man with golden hair and emerald eyes that sparkled in the sunshine and connected with her sapphire eyes. He was wearing a blue uniform with butterfly stitching around the buttons. Marinette was paralyzed with horror as she realized who this young man was.

" Please forgive your Majesty! I didn't see where I was going and I should've seen you coming. Please forgive me!" said Marinette with sound of fear in her voice as she lowered her head, fearful of even looking at the prince.

"It is quite alright m'lady, It is I who should've seen you coming." said the boy.

"Please continue with whatever you were doing."

Marinette was shocked but quickly ran into the bar and handed the cookies to Alya and saying happy birthday to her and quickly leaving after her shift.

That night as Marinette laid in bed, she got this weird feeling in her when remembered what the prince had said to her. She smiled to herself thinking about what she said last night and realizing that it may have come true. Marinette had fallen in love with Prince Adrien Agreste of Parisila.
