With a groan I threw back my covers and sat up in bed. I looked at my nightstand and smiled at the picture sitting there. It was the four of us at the zoo. That was such a fun day. The girls had been talking about it constantly ever since. Andy had really stepped up to being in their lives. I don't know why I had been worried about him meeting them.
I still can't believe I'm dating him..

I stood up and pulled off my t shirt.

I made my way into the kitchen and opened the cabinet, pulling out ingredients for pancakes. I turned to the fridge in search off eggs.
damn it...we dont have any eggs..
I looked over at Ellie, she was sitting at the counter staring at me with a big smile on her face. She was going to be really disappointed if I didn't deliver pancakes..
"We're out of eggs Ellie...maybe I can go to the store and..."
I was interrupted by my phone beeping obnoxiously. "Hold on Ellie."
I picked it up and turned on the screen.

A calendar reminder stared back at me from the screen.
Kids Visit today
I had completely forgotten. I had to take them to see their dad.

I have to take them...they don't deserve to be held back from him because of me..
