"Do you have everything packed? Did you get your phone charger? And the gift for your mom? And did you pack Rosie's stuffy?" You said, rolling your suitcase down the staircase.
"Yes! And what did I tell you?"
He said, hot on your trail behind you.
You stepped off the last step, looking up at him.
"My legs and arms work Justin." You said,
looking in his hazel eyes.
"Barely. You're pregnant. You can't be lifting things like this. You're gonna hurt yourself or the baby."
He said, pointing to the suitcase you just put down.
You sighed, ignoring his logic.
You have a problem with not asking for help and doing things yourself. Specially when you're pregnant. The feeling of not being able to do things you used to is killer."I just don't want you to have to carry everything." You said, stepping into your flip flops that laid by the door.
"It's fine. I've got it baby."
He said carelessly. You watched as he loaded his arms with luggage, walking out the front door to the SUV. You couldn't help but feel spoiled."Rosie. Let's go honey." You said, grabbing your purse from the couch. You made sure everything was inside, knowing Rosie has a tendency to dump your purse out when she's board.
A few seconds later you heard little feet running down the staircase. Her small body appeared at the bottom of the steps, dressed in her princess outfit she got from Pattie for her birthday. She's obsessed."Baby. Why are you wearing that? You might get it dirty in the car." You said, walking over to her.
"Daddy said I could wear it." She said, stepping into her princess heels that match.
Of course daddy said so.
Daddy's been voted the awesome and fun parent of the house, while you've been voted the party killer, mother that serves healthy food, such as apples and peaches.
The struggles are real of being a parent. You opened the front door, stepping out after Rosie.
She walked beside you towards the SUV.
"Justin. Did you tell her she could wear her princess outfit?" You asked, helping him pack the car.
"No. I told her she couldn't because she'd get it dirty." He said, looking you in the eye.
You raised your eyebrows, glancing over at her as she danced around the driveway.
You sighed, looking back at Justin.
"What are we going to do with her?"
You asked, causing him to Smirk.
"She's your daughter." He winked, closing the the trunk."Rosie. We're leaving baby." Justin said, opening the back door. He helped her in, setting her in her seat.
As you got in the passenger seat up front, you heard him talking to her in his serious voice.
"I thought I told you not to wear your princess outfit." He said calmly, buckling her up.
"But I like it." She quickly said, pushing her lips out like she was posing for a selfie.
You covered your mouth to keep from laughing.
"Hey. I'm being serious. You need to listen to me or mommy when we tell you no." He said, his eyes staring deeply into hers.
She slowly nodded, her feet kicking around as her legs dangled off the seat.
Justin kissed her cheek, making her smile.
"Give me a kiss." He mumbled.
She kissed his lips making him smile.
"Love you sweetheart." He said.
"Love you daddy!" She said afterwards.Justin closed the door, getting in the drivers seat.
As he was about to buckle up, Rosie's voice stopped him.
"Daddy. Did you get my stuffy?" She asked worriedly.
"It's in Mommy's purse." Justin said
looking towards you.
"No it's not." You said, remembering from earlier.
Justin frowned, sitting silent a few seconds before he sighed.
"I left it on the table." He mumbled.
You smirked, watching Justin jump out of the car. He ran into the house, locking it on his way out.
Soon he jumped back in the car, handing Rosie her stuffy. Justin saw the smirk on your face,
making his eyes roll.
"Don't say a word." He mumbled.Later:
"I'm hungry." Rosie whined, causing you to awake from your nap. You rubbed your eyes, looking back at Her. "Did you eat all your animal crackers?"
You asked, seeing the empty bag on the seat.
"Yes! Like 10 hours ago."
She said with a sassy look.
Justin chuckled, checking the radio station for the tenth time.
"Baby. Can we stop and get dinner?"
You asked, looking at his side profile as he drove.
"We've only got two more hours." He said, making you frown. "Ha ha. So funny." You said, not in the mood for his jokes.
"Alright alright. Where do you wanna eat?"
He asked, continuing to drive on the Interstate."Anywhere. except you know where."
You said, referring to McDonald's. Rosie's favorite place in the world. It's so unhealthy, so you try and keep her away from there as much as you can."You mean McDonald's?" Justin said, looking towards you. Your blood began to boil as Rosie screamed McDonald's.
"Justin Drew bieber." You said, looking out the window, not wanting him to see the words you were mouthing.
"Please daddy please. McDonald's please!"
She said, kicking her feet like crazy.
"No. We're not eating McDonald's." He said, taking a food exit.
They argued a minute or two before
Justin lost it.
"Rosie! We're not eating there! Don't you say another word about it." He snapped.
It wasn't long until you heard a few sniffles from
Rosie, breaking your heart a little every time.
Justin hates yelling at her, but she has a bit of a
sass problem.
Justin soon pulled into the panera bread parking lot, cutting the car off for the first time since leaving the house."You two wanna go and order while I call mom and tell her where we're at?"
He asked, looking in your eyes.
You nodded, unbuckling yourself.
You grabbed your purse, carefully stepping out of the tall SUV. Much bigger than your everyday car.
"Carful baby." Justin said, watching you like a hawk.
You walked around the car, opening the back door. You grabbed Rosie, holding her in your arms.
You closed the back door before walking towards the building.
"How about you get some Mac and cheese! Doesn't that sound yummy." You said, opening the door to the building. She faintly nodded, laying her head on your shoulder.
You stood in line before ordering a
chicken salad for you, Rosie a bowl of mac and cheese, and Justin his usual, barbecue chicken sandwich on flat bread.
As you and Rosie waited at the counter, a male stood beside the both of you.
He kept staring down at Rosie, worrying you a little bit. You picked Her back up, holding her in your arms. You watched him carefully from the corner of your eyes, prepared to say something if he continued.
You noticed every step you took, he'd do the same, until his body was almost touching yours.
"Daddy." Rosie said.
You looked over, seeing Justin entering the building.
Thank god.
Justin saw you two, making his way over to the both of you.
"Daddy! Mommy ordered me Mac and cheese."
Rosie said, climbing in Justin's arms.
"Awesome. You're gonna let me have some right?"
He asked, smiling as she nodded.
Justin then looked over at you, noticing you were a little startled.
"What's the matter?" He asked, glancing down at your stomach, worried it involved the baby.
You looked at him, stepping closer to his tall body."This guy keeps staring at us. And he's been following us." You mumbled in his ear.
Justin looked over your head, seeing the guy standing beside you.
Justin immediately had a frown over his face.
Justin motioned you on the other side of him.
You quickly did that, feeling better.
Justin held Rosie in his arms as he glared the man down until he backed off.
