I started packing as Ariana walked around my room. "I noticed your room is a little bigger than the others.", Ariana said. "Oh, well that's because I'm one of the oldest kids here, I'm turning fifteen in six months.", I said explaining. "Wow. I'm glad I'm adopting you because I kinda wanted more a little sister than a little kid.", Ariana said back. I smiled at what she said and started to grab my clothes out of my drawers. I didn't have many, so it didn't take too much time to do. When I finished there, I threw my makeup bag into my suitcase, which I barely needed because I didn't wear makeup on many occasions, my toiletries, like a toothbrush, hairbrush, perfume, and the rest of my "feminine products". For some reason referring to them as "lady or feminine products" was funny to me. I don't know why. I started to grab my ukulele case to attach to my suitcase, when I heard a gasp from Ariana. She picked up a piece of paper and turned to me. "Hayley? Did you draw this?", she said, referring to a portrait I drew of Ariana and her brother. I smiled widely and said, "Oh yeah! I was planning on giving it to you if I ever met you." "It's amazing, Hayley.", Ariana said, still staring at it. "Well", I said, "It is for you." She smiled and looked at me, "I'll treasure it."
When I had finally finished packing everything, Ariana and I were ready to leave. I walked down into the main room, where all the little kids were. "Do you have to leave Hayley?", one of the little girls said, looking up at me sadly. "I'll visit I promise.", I said hugging her.
Ariana and I walked out, and immediately there was the paparazzi swarming her and I. Her bodyguards were already waiting for us, as well as a car. One of the body guards grabbed my bags for me, and the other ushered Ariana and I into the car. Once we were inside, we were on our way to her house. "Hayley, we're going to drop your stuff off in your new room, and then we're going shopping!", Ariana said.
"Oh, Ariana you don't have to take me sh-.", I was going to finish but I got cut off by Ariana saying, "But I want to." The car ride was silent for a few minutes, but it wasn't awkward. I was looking outside most of the time, since I've never been this far from the orphanage. I only lived in California because of the orphanage. My hometown was New York, but for some reason I had to move to this orphanage and California (a/n: Ariana lives in California in this story, I'm not exactly sure where she actually lives, but I know she got a new house). "Oh Hayley, actually I have a surprise for you, let me get it.", Ariana said as she got up and walked to the other side of the car to get her bag. She held something behind her back and said, "Okay, close your eyes." I closed my eyes and smiled, and felt her put a small box in my hand. "Okay, now you can open your eyes!", Ariana said, excitedly. I opened my eyes and gasped, as I saw a rose gold iPhone 6s box in my hand. "Wow. Ariana thank you, you really didn't have to.", I said my voice joyful and appreciative. "I know I didn't, but this way you are safe, and I want to spoil you anyways.", she said with a small giggle, "It's already set up, and I wrote your phone number on the box so you can memorize it." I looked up at her and smiled. "I've never had an iPhone before, or well an actual phone, I bought and iPod for myself a year ago." She smiled at me, and sat back in her original seat. We reached her house, but I wasn't paying much attention because I was intrigued by my new phone. "We're here!", She said, bringing me out of my trance. We stepped out of the car, and I stood there in awe. "Like it?", Ariana asked.to be continued...
