Hey...

Kenni's point of view

I sat in my room listening to Drake's new album and smiled as my phone flashed indicating a text from Hayden. That's right. Hayden. My friend's sexy boyfriend... Two elongated months had passed since I went to the cinema with Kelsie and a lot of things had happened. First of all, Kelsie and I's friendship had began to deteriorate when she started accusing me of trying to steal her boyfriend. Jazzy had also started to become distant towards me and had excluded me from her circle of friends.

Whilst many of my long term friendships had began to fall apart, new people had began to build a fresh foundation of friendship. One of them people happens to be Hayden. Yes Hayden. Kelsie's current boyfriend. By now you are probably thinking of everything under the sun like 'Why she flirting with a taken man?' But before you start to judge I just want to clarify that our friendship is completely innocent. Hayden was now my new male best friend and he had been helping me through a lot of the shit I'd been going through. He was just there when I needed to vent. Now you're probably wondering what's been happening in my life. Well I might as well explain why I am sitting in my room listening to Drake.

I put on my beat headphones and reluctantly walked into the same college that me and my friends had been gushing over last year. Its funny because i thought all of us would come here together but I noticed how everyone had gone their own way. I must admit that I thought we would be friends for life. I know, very naïve of me but I just thought they were the realest people and they would be there for me through thick and thin. Oh well... at least i know my true ones.

I took in a deep breath and tried to calm the nerves that were flowing through my body. I took in the area and looked at the crowd of first years who were eagerly listening to a man in a brown suit. I'm guessing he was the head teacher.

"Here at South Thames college we expect nothing but the best from our students and I will be looking forward to guiding you through your two years at South Thames..." after that I zoned out of his speech and let Jhene Aiko's soulful voice drown out the nasty echo that happened to be the head teacher's voice.

Obviously my headphones were unable to eliminate any sound as I later heard "Excuse me! This is exactly what I do not expect from my students! I will not tolerate this behavior!" I looked over and saw Mr Graham scolding a brown skinned boy who was casually smoking a cigarette by the window. Everything about him screamed hood rat but he portrayed a laid back and reserved exterior. The boy simply smiled at the head teacher, put out his cigarette and continued to smile before saying "Sorry sir been craving that for time." I was shocked at how enticing his voice was and was even more shocked at how calm he was. Most boys would start causing a scene and start shouting like the world was coming to an end. I saw most of the females go into a frenzy as they talked about how 'peng' he was. Though I wonder why he would decide to smoke a cigarette in such a bait place...

Throughout the first week I kept on seeing him around school but then later encountered him in my Creative writing class.

I sat at the back of the class, doodling in my notebook whilst listening to the teacher explain the syllabus for the year. The teacher, Miss Grant was going through the class rules when the boy from the assembly sauntered into the class room with a beautiful girl attached to his arm.

"Jailen, just sit down next to the girl at the back. I don't want you disturbing the class."

It was funny how Miss already knew who Jailen was, it showed that Jailen was already creating a name for himself here. The beautiful girl, who I later found out was his girlfriend Shantel, took a seat at the front whilst screwing me in the process.
