Hurtful Words

3rd Person POV

Luffy walked around the house, eyebrows furrowed, shoulders slumped and arms crossed. He groaned and got angrier by the second, waiting for the reaskn of his anger to wake up.

The cause for Luffy's anger finally entered the lounge, where Luffy sat on the couch cross legged as he was about to interogate someone.

"You sure took your time waking up..." Luffy said bluntly, trying his hardest not to break into tears.

"Yeah! I love my sleep! Got home at 2 in the morning, I had a really tough patient to deal with." Law said, stretching his arms like a cat.

"Tough patient ... huh?"

"Yeah, he was a tough one alright. Neharu... I think it was... I'm not so sure though. He kept going on about how he'd kill me if I didn't let hom go."

"He even remembered their name, huh. I know I shouldn't doubt him and I know I should trust him, but lately, things haven't been so good... maybe he's bored of me.." Luffy questioned,

"Luffy-ya, you know today is my day off, so is there anywhere you want to go?"

Luffy sat there, his eyes dead and not a muscle moved, though on the inside he was jumping with joy.

"I don't know anywhere in particular, unless you have a place in mind?" Luffy said, still trying to sound angry.

Law hummed, hands on his hips. He thought of a few places that Luffy may've enjoyed, but he knew that it would grow boring quickly.

"Why don't we-"

*Riing! Riing! Riiiing! Riii-*

"Are you going to answer it?" Luffy spat, annoyed and angry but it wasn't an act this time.

"No, it's probably not important anyway,"

Luffy sat there, annoyed, waiting for Law to pick his phone.

"So... where do you want to go?" Law asked, trying to break the awkward silence.

"Answer your phone,"

"No."

"Answer. Your. Phone." Luffy was now getting really frustrated with Law. Luffy's breathing quickened and he was balling his fists.

"Luffy-ya, I already said that I wouldn't answer it-"

"Answer it..."

"...No..."

Then Luffy finally snapped.

"JUST ANSWER YOUR GOD DAMN FUCKING PHONE!!"

"Luffy-ya..."

Luffy had enough of it, his tears that he held in for too long had started to break free. Luffy sniffled and his vision was blurred.

"Torao... why?"

"What is it Luffy-ya?"

"Why... why do you always lie to me?!"

"Luffy-ya-"

"No! Don't try and lie about this either! You're always lying to me!"

"Luffy-ya I don't -"

"Don't tell me you don't know what I'm saying either! You know exactly what I mean! You're always coming home late, and you always smell like womens perfume! And when I come to meet you at work, you're always with someone!"

"Luffy-ya..."

"This is why I've been so worked up... the people around you who care, they always... they always seem to get hurt..."

Law tried to reach out to get a grasp of Luffy's arm but Luffy tugged it away from him.

"It was your fault..." Luffy said darkly, shadows falling on hid face,

"It's your fault that people die... it's your fault that Corazon is DEAD!!"

Law couldn't take anymore of it, he broke into tears, remembering his grim past.

"... and what about Ace...?"

"Torao I-"

"Why is Ace not standing with us today?! He died, because he was protecting YOU!"

The two stood there, their bodies frozen. Luffy stormed into their room and locked himself in, sitting in front of the door.

Luffy sat there for awhile, until his tears had started to dry up and his stomach started to growl.

Law on the other hand, was on the other side of the door. Sitting there, back against the wall, arms wrapped around his knees.

"Torao," "Luffy-ya" they both said in unison,

"I'm sorry,"

"Food?"

"Food."

And Luffy opened the door and jumped into Law's arms, hugging him tightly.

"I love you," Law whispered to Luffy,

"And I love you," Luffy whispered back.
