Beneath the Sky

Chapter 1/Me

Day 56, my EXP is max and my level is high enough to finally to beat the final boss. Deep breaths and then we can finally..."SAMSON! GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT NOW!" Ugh it's my mom. "WHAT?" I scream back. I look back at my screen. Dang it, I died! Crap, forgot to save! Suddenly I hear mom say "GO DO YOUR CHORES!" I turn my computer off and walk down my stairs. My mom stares at me. wearing those yellow gloves. She hands me a mop and a bucket and says"Go clean the bathroom floor!" I take the mop and the bucket and head to the bathroom. I opened the door and found that my little brother Charlie is dropping all of moms jewelry down the toilet. He always did this and every time got scolded by mom. He never learned but instead always acted innocent. I cleaned the bathroom while listening to mom yell at Charlie. Quite pleasing, I thought as I moved the wet mop back and forth. I walked out of the bathroom with the wet mop on the dirty bathroom floor.

As I go outside to grab my bike, my friend Marcus calls me on my cellphone. I hang up, since I am going to his house anyways. I peddle down my driveway and head through the neighborhood. My neighbors are working on their lawn and say hi to me as I pass by their house. After what feels like miles of biking, I arrive at Marc's house. I knock once and wait, but their is no response. I knock again but realize that their are not home. Great, I thought. Should have answered his call. I reach for my phone to try and call him. Never mind, looks like he texted me. The text says, "Hey man, just to let you know, my family is looking for a new house right now since you know that we're moving soon." Putting my phone away, I head back home. Before I leave, I take a final look at my friend's house. I suddenly feel emotions that I normally keep away. Why? I ask myself. Why do you want to move out of your neighborhood and leave me here all alone? I head home, not realizing that the sky was changing color in different places.

I ride home and find that my mom went to Walmart to pick up groceries. She left a note saying,

                                          Samson, I went to Walmart to buy you school supplies.

                                   Take good care of Charlie and actually CLEAN the bathroom.

Great. Time alone with a noisy little crapper who isn't potty trained yet and a bathroom covered in failed attempts from Charlie trying to learn. I open the door and smell the scent of dirty diapers in the air. I grab a clothes pin and put it on my nose. I will tell mom that Charlie just made a stinky when she comes in the door. I go upstairs and turn on my computer and start playing World of Warcraft. I decide to hack my computer and download some mods to help me get to where I was faster. I put in the code and wait for my game to load. It's getting darker outside, even though it is only 3:00 in the afternoon. I walk into the kitchen to grab some snacks and the kitchen is really bright, even though there are no lights turned on. I don't pay attention and proceed to continue hacking my computer.
