Chapter 5

After telling Hanji that I didn't want to be disturbed I headed to Levi's room. Without knocking I entered the room.

" Hi Levi, how do you feel?" I asked.

" I'm better now... thanks to you..." he said, blushing slightly.

"Well then... I'll let you rest. Good night, Levi."

" (Y/N)...Can you stay here until I fall asleep?"

"I don't know Levi, I have to go to talk to Hanji. But I promise that after that I'll be back, OK?"

"Ok, fine."

"See you later!"

I walked out the room and headed to Hanji's office. While I was walking towards her office I bumped into Erwin.

"Hello cadet ( L/N). Listen, I just wanted to apologize for what happened today."

" Yeah... Well, I'm sorry for yelling at you, sir."

" It's alright, cadet."

"If you'd excuse me sir, I have to talk to Hanji." I said, heading for Hanji's office. When I get there I knocked on the door and wait for a answer.

"Come in," said Hanji.

"Hi Hanji, I heard you wanted to talk to me..."

"Well yes, I wanted to tell you that tomorrow we'll have to go with that new titan boy Eren outside the walls."

"Wait... WHAT? But... Levi's still injured!"

"Who said that little shorty would come?"

"He won't?!"

"No, he has to stay here until he would feels better."

"Then... I won't come!"

"You have to, because Eren is in Levi's squad and you are too, you must take care of Eren."

"First of all, I am not a titan babysitter. Second of all, why me?"

"Because you are the second strongest in the whole squad after Levi, and before we left the walls yesterday Levi told me that if anything happens to him he wants you to take the lead of his squad."

"That means that while he's recovering I'll be the leader of his squad?"

" Yes ...so, you'll have to- No, you must come to this expedition!"

" Ugh, Alright..."

" Alright. See you tomorrow, then. Good night, (Y/N)."

" Good night, Hanji."

After talking to Hanji I went to my room to take a shower. The water was really cold.

"They forgot to pay the rent to hot water again or what? " I said to myself.

After the shower I went to Levi's room, as promised. I slowly opened the door and then closed it. He was deep asleep in his bed so I took the blanket that was near his bed and covered him up (after all it was December, more exactly 14 December) . After I cover him up with the blanket I started walking towards the door so I could get to my room.

" ( Y/N)... Is that you?" I heard his tired, soft voice.

" Yes, it's me."

"Can you stay with me tonight?"

" I don't know, there's this expedition tomorrow and I have to go, especially that you made me your squad captain without telling me."

" I thought it would be a nice surprise."

" Yeah, it sure was ...until I was told that I have to take care of that Titan brat called Eren and your entire squad."

" Yes... please take care of them...Oh, and take care of yourself, I wouldn't imagine a Christmas without you."

" And I don't think a nice present for your birthday would be some of my bones," I joked.

" Yes, it wouldn't be. So, would you stay with me tonight?"

" Fine, but you'll have to to wake me up. Also, be careful: if I'm not in a good mood I'll punch your face."

" Oh really?"

"Yeah really." I said, jumping in his bed and cuddling in his chest. I fell asleep in his arms felling safe.
