Chapter 1

"Yeh vivah saphal hua! Ab ap dono pati patni hain!" The pandit announced loudly and they were tied with the most strong at the same time weak knot of all.

"Badhai ho! Badhai ho!" The cheers almost exploded the hall and he stared at her.

Face was covered in dupatta. But he saw her beauty when he had lifted the ghoongat to fill her hairline with vermilion. It was the first time they were beside each other but still were not face to face. He had noticed her anxiety as she had fisted her both hands together to hide the shivering.

Was she not happy? He wondered as when he had lifted her ghoongat her face was so pale. Maybe it was because of the lighting?

"Beta! Baroon ka ashirwad lo!" He heard his mother saying and he nodded looking at her then he look back at his newly announced wife before leaning near her.

"Chaliye! Sab ka ashirwad lety hain!" He spoke very softly in her ear and she moved a little away. He frowned but shook his head ignoring the feeling which was twisting in his gut. He tried helping her in getting up but she didn't let him and herself got up. He quietly followed her and both bent down in front of his mother.

"Jeetay raho! Sada sukhi raho!" Neyonika exclaimed and Manik smiled nodding his head. Neyonika lifted Nandini's dupatta to see her face and she went all awe!

"Rishab! Is chand kay tukray ko mery ghar ki zeenat banany ka bohat shukria!" Neyonika spoke in a dazed tone to Nandini's elder brother and he smiled weakly before shaking his head. He walked towards Manik and held him by arms.

"Aik haara hua bhai hoon main Manik! Myny apni behen ko bht pyaar say paal kay bada kiya hai! Jaan basti hai is main meri! Meri behen ka bohat khayal rakhna!" His voice turned heavy and emotional while Manik smiled.

"Bhaiya! Ap ko tension leny ki koi zarorat ni hai! Ab ap ki behen meri izzat aur mera maan hai! Me bohat khyal rakhoon ga in ka!" Manik replied softly looking at Nandini who was looking down on the marble floor. Her face was expressionless and a little horrified.

Maybe she was worried because she had to leave the house and have to live with a stranger about whom she don't know anything except his name..

"Mjy yai umeed hai ap say!" Rishab was now crying as it was bidai time now. Nandini went in Rishab's embrace and Manik's heart became so sad when she cried her lungs out hugging her brother. Everyone there became sad..

"Bhaiya! Mjy ap ko chood kar ni jana! Mjy mat bhejye! Me kesy rahoon ge ap k bina!" She spoke looking at her brother crying to no extent and Rishab shook his head.

"Oo mera pagal bacha! Larki ka sai ghar tou us ka susral hota hai na! Ab Manik he tera sab kuch hai! Wo bht khyl rakhy ga tera!" Rishab tried consoling her.

She look at Manik and their eyes met!

Hazel versus chocolate ignited a spark and she immediately looked back to her brother who was wiping his tears.

Manik look at Neyonika who gestured him with eyes to take Nandini. He nodded and walked closer to the brother-sister...

"Bhaiya! Ab hamain ijazat dijye! Raat bohat ho gai hai! Ghar chalna chahye!" Manik started looking at Rishab and once again panic filled Nandini...
