Goodbye

I woke up to the sound of my heart.

I looked at my chest to see nothing had changed.

I look around my small room and saw nothing wrong.

I got out of my bed and started to go down the hall.

I looked over my shoulder because I swear something was watching me, nothing.

I keep on walking to the kitchen door and place my hand on the knob.

I pull my hand back and look at the glowing red door knob. I grab for it again, nothing happens.

I sigh and turn the knob.

A deep laugh egos around my head.

"Oh my poor little child. Don't you know that you should never walk in the dark?" It said as I turn around to open the door to find its locked.

I bang on the door and yell out for help.

"Child be quiet!" It screamed.

I stopped and rested my head against the door with my hands above me.

"No, this can't be happening. I'm dreaming." I whisper.

I heard it laugh again.

"Child this is no dream. Now turn around." I turned around to meet a pair of blood red eyes across the room.

"Your eyes are beautiful child. What a shame they will have to die." It said.

My breathing got heavy as I pushed my back against the door.

"You can't do anything to me!" I spat out.

It laughed its deep laugh.

"Oh my dear child, you know nothing." It said while growing up to the roof.

I screamed and shut my eyes tight.

"Say goodbye my little child!" It screamed at me.

I opened my eyes for the last time to see blood red eyes staring back.
