Samantha's POVSeven years ago when I was ten years old, my birth parents both died in a car accident.
I was at school when it happened and by the time I got home there were police cars and agents all around my house. It turned out that a drunk driver crashed into them killing himself and my mom and dad included.
They were the only family I had and I lost them because some stupid alcoholic though it was a nice day to go for a ride.
Anyways, I was translated into an adoptive center in New York, where I stayed for six months until Jenny and her husband, Arthur Miller, adopted me.
They were the most caring and sweet people in the world with me, never punished me physically and treated me like if I was their child. Well, they still do and I love them for that. They just have a small defect and that is, they are way too overprotective.
And that's the reason why I had to sneak out tonight.
"What were you thinking young lady? Sneaking out of the house at night without telling us where you were?" Jenny told me still glaring at me.
I had a sudden urge to roll my eyes. Since I didn't answer, Arthur took this as an opportunity to scold me as well.
"God, we already talked about this Samantha. You can't continue being like this, so carefree of life. If something happened to you, we-
"YOU WHAT!" I couldn't take it any longer, so I snapped.
"Illustrate me, because I'm confused. If something happened to me, WHAT! Would you care? Would you cry? Last time I checked, you are not even my real parents."
They both looked at me with hurt in their eyes, but I was so frustrated at that moment that before any of them could utter another word, I stormed to my bedroom and when I got there I closed the door so hard that it came with a large thud.
