Wat...

I stopped when I heard someone knock on my office door. "Come in," I called while taking my feet off the desk.

"Hey, I have a mission for you," Michael, my brother, said walking in. Michael was two years older than me. He was tall with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

"Shoot," I said. I've been itching for a mission for two months now.  It's so boring in the office. Last time I went out was across country to discuss boundaries with another hunter business. Where I ran into Gavin, who was self conceited and only cared about his muscles.

"Well, you know Maurice went on a mission a week ago." I nodded. "Well, he hasn't come back yet and we found his car in a ditch. We're getting worried," he said.

"Okay, so you want me to go after him," I confirmed.

"Yes. His last mission was to go kill a werewolf in Paris. Here's the file on the monster." He handed me a manila folder. "Look over this and leave tomorrow. See ya later."

Michael closed the door leaving me to do my business. I opened the folder and took out the contents. It seems Beau Martin, the CEO of an oil company, is a werewolf. He works from 6am to 10pm everyday. His work is his life, it seems. He's on the top floor of the building and lives in a  luxurious home in Trocadéro.

There was a picture sitting in the top right corner. Beau Martin was tall and muscular. He had short brown hair and blue eyes. He had a chiseled face and a long nose. He was quite handsome. But sadly he had to die.

I got my papers and left to get supplies. I rode the elevator down to the underground level. Stepping off, I quickly crouched down as a arrow was flying towards my head.

"Watch out!" a voice yelled.

"To late for that, Vick," I said picking myself up.

Victor came running up to me. He was Indian with short shaggy black hair. He was somewhat tall and really skinny. His lab coat seemed to have a stain, maybe ketchup? "Sorry for that," he said.

"It's fine." I said wiping my hands on my pants. "What's with the look. You normally don't dress so nice." Normally Vick wore a graphic sci-fi tee and jeans, today he was wearing a sweater vest and khakis. I can't remember the last time he was dressed this nice.

"I got a date later, with Linda." He smiled and did that slow nod guys did when talking about their catch.

"Cute, where ya going?"

"Crêperie La Picoterie," he kissed his first three fingers.

"Nice."

"So what do you need today?"

"Crossbow with silver tipped arrows and a small pistol with 2 magazines of silver bullets."

"That all? I made a new werewolf hatchet." He raised his eyebrows up and down.

"No, I'm fine, I have my sword." I said quickly. Sometimes Victor's new weapons go haywire. Don't know how with a simple hatchet, but better safe then sorry. "I gotta go, put the weapons on my desk by 3:00." I turned to go.

"OK, but I do need a tester for the hatchet, so please?" He smiled a big smile.

"Maybe later." The elevator opened and I quickly stepped on.

"Thanks!" He yelled waving as the doors closed.

Getting back to the office, I was stopped by a muscular man with black hair.

"Hey, Amanda," he said in a low voice.

"Hello, Gavin," I said trying to walk past him.

He stepped in front of me again. "So, doing anything later?" He gave me one of his winning smirks. Like that's going to win me over.

"Mission." I tried to pass him again, but he still blocked me.

"You're still going on these missions? You should really leave them to the men. Maybe become a secretary or a house wife to yours truly." He gave me another smirk. "Just look at your small frame. You'll be crushed."

"Thank you for your concern, Gavin, but I think I'll stick to capturing ALL of my monsters." Gavin seemed taken back to all of those monsters he's lost because of his showiness. He could be a better monster hunter if he could just control himself. I quickly slipped by him and got to my office.

When I arrived, all of my equipment was on my desk. How did he?  I quickly get ready and left. But only to be stopped by Gavin once again as I reached the elevator.

"Amanda," he nods.

"Gavin." The doors open and we both stepped on.

"I just got a mission."

"Oh." He's probably trying to brag about his mission.

"It's pretty cool." It seems he is. "I will be on stake out in Paris for a banshee."

"Good for you." Can these doors move any faster?

"Yeah, just gotta get my weapons." He leans back on the wall. Silence. "I saw your papers and it seems you'll be in Paris too, maybe we can meet up?"

"Maybe." How slow do these elevators move?  "But I'll be working, so maybe not."

"Well maybe when I'm done, I can go help you. I can move things much faster."

"I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I can kill circles around you," I smirked at him.

"I don't know about that," he chuckled.

The doors opened up. "Well, we'll just have to see," I said as I stepped off.

"Good morning Latrell," I said as a Gavin's smallish sidekick walked scurried past. He nodded as he stepped on the elevator with Gavin. I walked out of the building to my black car.

We'll just have to see, wont we?
