Just Friends

Chapter 4

I showed him the way to the Johnny rockets in the mall since it was the closets one. Once we were in the mall we went to the food court and went inside Johnny rockets. The mall was pretty big it was 2 stories tall and had a lot of famous stores like Express, Zumiez, and Hot Topic. The food court was pretty big too all the restraints were outside but with a section were you can go inside the store and eat. And then you would go outside and there would be this big water fountain that looked like a grey flower blooming and spilling water out of each peddle.

At Johnny rockets Travis and I orders the number 12 which was a burger that contains Cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, white onion, pickles, mayonnaise and some fries to share. To drink he got a coke and I got a sprite.

Once we were settled at our booth we started eating.

"So did your girlfriend ever respond on the Paris trip" I asked taking a bite of my burger

"No but I might call her later today" he said taking a bite of his burger.

"Oh and do you think she will be bothered if I go" I asked taking a sip of my sprite hoping that she would like me and become my friend because the last thing I needed was an enemy, or drama.

"No I don't think so she is vary chill, she like a lot of people and she doesn't get jealous" he said taking another bite of his burger

"Oh" I said taking a bite of my burger. Then we ate in silence for a wile well until his phone vibrated

"Speaking of the devil" he said smiling and wiping his face with a napkin before picking up his phone "I'll be back" he said walking outside and leaving me alone in the booth I ate until I finished my burger he was a fast eater so he had already finished his burger

He walked back in putting his phone in his pocket then walking towards the booth I was at, he sat down and grabbed the salt shaker and started spinning it around with his thumb and index finger.

"Well she said that she was busy and didn't want to go anywhere anymore because she has already seen to much and told me to go by my self" he said in a sad voice not wanting to look at me in the eyes.

"Oh well that's a bummer Im sorry" I said trying to sound sad. But the truth was I was happy because now I didn't have to think of what she would think of me.

"Ya but at least we get to go right" he said trying to cheer himself up more than me

"Ya I guess" I said

"Ya so let talk about you and less of me now" he said changing the subject and looking up at me "like do you have a boyfriend" he asked catching me by surprise I haven't had a boyfriend since my last indecent with josh in 7th grade

"No I actually haven't had one for quite a wile" I said hoping he wouldn't ask why

"And why is that" he asked

Oh gosh what should I say "um.. No one ...likes me" I siad making it sound like a queshtion more then an answer.

"April u shure r a bad lier" he said smiling at me

"Ugh ok fine I will tell you why just don't juge me ok"

"Ok I promis" he siad crossing his hart.

"Well it all started in 7th grade. I had a huge crush on this guy named josh. He asked me out and like an idiot I said yes. But the truth was he was only using me to win money for a bet he made with his friends, he was suppose to go out with the girl he thought looked ugly and he was suppose to kiss me once every week and he was not aloud to break up with me until it has been a hole month. And when he would tKe me on dates i would feel special you know because he would talk to me and hold my hand and walk around with all that kind of stuff. But when I found out it was too late he was breaking up with me in front of the whole skol in a spirit assembly. He asked me to stand up and he sang a song for me and at the end of the song, He humiliated me in front of everyone and broke up with me and said he never really liked me and said that he only asked me out for a bet and thanks to me he won the bet. So from there on I was known at the girl that josh broke up with for money." I said remembering how it felt to walk down the hall an people talk about me or how they would make a stupid joke in front of there friends like of here comes the tear breaker or the ugly girl josh went out with. That's why I totally hated middle school and stopped trying to make friends. All my friends left me because they didn't want to be known as the tear breakers friend.
