Screaming.

When I had came home, that was the first thing I heard.

What had terrified me more was the fact that it wasn't what you would quite call a 'happy' scream.

No.

It was a terrifyingly loud scream of agony.

Blood splattered on the floor.

It was trailing towards a room.
The living room to be exact.

Two people tied against chairs and one dead on the floor.

It was ironic.

They where in the living room yet instead of living they were dying.

One by one.

They didn't have a fast 'painless' death. Each one of them were tortured slowly and painfully. And all I could do was watch. It made me sick to my stomach.

How could someone be so cruel ?

Then I woke up.

I jumped up in fright, sweat dripping down from my face to my chin.

Of course I had 'forgotten' what had happened, but that didn't mean the nightmares stopped.

I looked at my clock.

5:00 pm
January 30, 2021

In that moment I had realized where I was and what the day had to bring.

After the 'incident' I was sent to live with my so called aunt.

Cold.

One of the words I could use to describe her. I knew right from the start that she never cared for me. It was my first time meeting her.

At that time I expected more from her, more love, and more care.

But now I'm kinda glad she never took the time to heel me. I was still the shattered glass on the floor.

I was broken.

I quickly get out of bed to start my morning routine.

Brush teeth.
Take shower.
Put on new uniform.
Brush hair.
Make bed.
And finally make breakfast.

The uniform was pretty simple. A white collared shirt, black skirt (long or short), a vest (if I wanted), a black blazer, (long or short black or white) socks.

I quickly put on my shoes and headed outside. My suit was on the third floor so I had the choice of taking the elevator or the stairs. Of course I chose the stairs, I liked to get in as much exercise as I could...and their was also my fear of elevators.

Once I was out of the building, I Headed to the school. I had been shown how to get there many times before I went so I wouldn't forget. Because apparently I was quite forgetful.

The walk was only a 15 minutes.

Then I had entered the school gates.
The school was giant. It looked as big as a mansion. Of course I wasn't surprised, since it was a private academy.

The main office was right in front, inside the building.

When I entered I had met a 'nice' looking lady. She had faked smiled at me. Of course I had noticed it, I've seen so many in what had just been a year.

"Good morning m'am, how may I help you ?" She said.

"I'm the new transfer student. "

"May I ask your name ?"

"(Y/n), (l/n). "

She had paused for a second or two.

"Right this way, miss (l/n). "

I followed her. The sound of her heels making the quiet office echo.

We came to a stop at two large, dark brown, doors. And a sliver sign saying 'Headmaster'.

"Sir, miss (l/n) is here."

After a short pause of silence "Enter" was heard from the other side of the door.

When the door opened what I had seen- who I had seen, was someone I had never thought I'd see again.

He was another reminder of what had happened and I wasn't ready for that, not yet...
