Day 1
7:15amToday is the first day of Summer (well, not really) and I wake to the light shining through my window. A thought triggers in my mind to get up and do something, and then I decide to go for a run.
Running is a way of waking up when I am in holiday mode. It is also great running along the beach and down the pier, stopping to take in the sights for a brief moment or two.
I lean across my bed to reach my phone and take it off the charge when I see that I have two notifications from Instagram. One is a picture of Peyton Meyer standing along the Yarra River in Melbourne (A.N. for anyone who doesn't know who he is, he is off Girl Meets World (#rucas)) and that Lauren, my friend from home has tagged me in a picture of Nash Grier. When I get up fully, I walk over to my suitcase and grab out a change of clothes and my earphones.
When I walk out of the room, I see that my parents and brother are up so I go and grab a muesli bar for the run.
"Hey, why are you up so early for a teenager, at home you tend to go to 9 at the least." Mum says.
"Good Morning to you too mother. I am just going for a run, did you want anything?
"No, we are all good, are you ready for the day?"
"Yeah I have my bikini underneath my clothes, and my towel is on my bed."
"Ok, have fun!"
"Will do."
I then head out the door and close it behind me. When I come to the road, I press play on my music and Home by Topic and Nico Santos begins to play.
'Let me come home to you
Let me come home to you again
Don't let me lose you too
Your smile still echoes through my head'
Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of when I was at the soccer supporting the boys in blue, when I noticed a good looking guy staring at me, and whenever I would look in his direction, he would look away. At the end of the game I was walking out and he came up to me and asked for my name. But at that point in time, my mother was looking for me and calling my name, so I sadly never got his name.
Most people in Australia tend to follow the nations sport of AFL. I personally don't get the game and I guess it could be he fact that I have grown up in a soccer family and have never followed it. We follow the A-League, which is a soccer league in Australia. It has a great atmosphere and is overflowing with very hot guys.
After I snap back into reality. I accidentally bump into someone.
"Oh I'm sorry about that, I was in my own little world." I say.
"That's OK. I believe we haven't met before, I would remember a girl as beautiful as you." He replies. Did I mention he is really hot??
"Oh thanks." I say shyly as I go to look at my feet.
"I'm Brady Rubens"
"Annalise Kirkpatrick"
"So Annalise, do you live around here?"
"No, my family has a house up on the hill. What about you?"
"Yeah, I do."
"Oh yeah."
"So, I guess I'll see you around Annalise?"
"Yeah we are still here for a week. See ya Brady" I say as I turn to go back up to the house.
I suspect this summer will be interesting...
10:10am - Beach-side
After we finish setting everything up, I pull off my shorts and singlet and run into the water (a.n. she has a bikini on if you are wondering, I am not that stupid to make her run in naked!). I then swim out so my shoulders are under while standing and I lay down, floating with the current.
About two minutes later I feel a splash next to me and see that Brady is standing there.
"Hey there." He says.
"Hey. You just got here?" I ask.
"Yeah we did. Our beach hut is the brown one." He replies.
"I've always tried to convince my parents to get us one, but they tell me that it would be unsafe as we are only here for a few days a year."
"That's true."
We small talk for a little longer before my Dad calls me back in to keep an eye on the stuff while my Mother and Brad (Brother) go down and get lunch. He wanted to go in the water for a while and snorkel.

About twenty minutes later, Mum and Brad arrive back with the food, and we all have something to eat before I head back out into the water. It was a bit choppy when I was out so I pull in one of the Body Boards and lay down on it, rocking over the waves whenever they would come my way.
The rest of the day mainly consisted of seeing Brady in the water with his family, every now and again catching him looking at me. During this time, I have noticed that he has a little sister, and is really good with her, which is really cute. I don't know what it is with me and guys who are good with kids, I don't know if it is something that most girls take note of, or it is just me.
Just when the sun is getting closer to fully setting, and it is in a really annoying place, we pack up and head back up to the car. We arrive back at the house and Mum calls dibs on the first shower (Only one shower in the house...) so I go and sit on the balcony. While looking out at the view, I glance over to my left and notice that the really good looking guy a few houses down is out there. He then looks my way and I quickly notice that he looks very familiar.
"Annalise?"
