Monica's Mate (needs a new title)

I was sitting in my office, when I heard a knock at the door. "Come in." I stated lifting my head up from my work. I watched the door open to reveal Charlie, my Beta standing there. He was wearing a t-shirt, and low hanging cargo pants, his dark brown hair messed on top of his head.

"Monica, the Alpha from the Dusk Shadows pack has asked for assistance with a rogue problem. Do we accept and help them?"

My father had told me to help people in need, and to stick up for his legacy I replied, "Of course. What time do they want us there?"

"As soon as possible."

"Ok, I want you to gather the best of our warriors, to help fight the rogues. I want us to be ready to go in an hour."

I ordered and he nodded his head,

"Yes, Alpha." And quickly went to follow my orders.

An hour later and the group were waiting outside to go, they were crowded together chatting, awaiting orders from me. "Listen up!" I shouted it became silent in a matter of seconds, "The Alpha of the Dusk Shadows pack has asked to have help with a pack of rogues." Growls echoed out, everyone hated rogues, especially me. My father and mother were killed by rogues, leaving me at the age of 12 to take over the pack. "To stand up for my father's legacy, we must help them." A chorus of 'Yeahs' could be heard, "it takes two hours to reach them by car, so five to a vehicle and let's get moving."

They all started to file out, my best friends came up to me. Charlie, my beta and second in charge, Mike, third in charge, Tyler, fourth in charge and Randy, the leader of my warriors. We all then moved towards Charlie's Land Rover, Charlie getting into the driving seat, myself in the passenger's seat and the rest of them in the back.

After half an hour, I heard grumbling in the back, I turned and looked at the boys. They looked very uncomfortable and squished, I tried to hide my laughter, and so did Charlie.

"What's so funny?" Mike's eyebrow raised, he was stuck on left side window,

"Cosy?" Charlie asked, and both he and I burst into laughter.

"Oh ha ha, very funny" Randy said sarcastically, he was jammed up against the right side window.

"You can talk." Tyler looked at the both of them; he was squeezed in between the two of them.

We all then burst into laughter; our group cannot stay serious for a second. I turn around to face the front, still laughing at the boys.

When we were nearing the camp, I went over the plan for the fourth time, "So have you got it?" I asked as I finished telling them,

"We got it the first time." Randy said annoyed, "When we get there, Mike is going to warn the Alpha to not be surprised about you. Then Mike, will introduce Tyler and I as we get out of the car. Then you and Charlie will get out and go meet the Alpha."

I nodded my head. A couple more minutes later, Charlie was parking the car and Mike got out following the plan. I heard talking, then Tyler and Randy got out on cue, more talking started then it was our turn to get out. Charlie looked at me and I nodded my head, "Let's get this over with." I muttered and got out of the car.

As I got out, I was assaulted with the most divine scent; I breathed it in as if it was a drug. 'Snap out of it,' I chided myself, I stood up straight and tried to block out the scent, wherever it was coming from. Then I started to walk over to meet the Alpha.

I noticed the scent was getting stronger as I was moving towards him, then I looked straight into his eyes and stopped mid-step, his eyes were the most gorgeous that I have ever seen. They are laurel green colour, just looking into them make my knees wobbly. I wanted to run up to him, hug him and make him love me forever. What released me from my stupor, was a low growl and the word, "Mine." Coming from his lips.

Before I could respond, a shout could be heard through the woods, "ROGUES!"
