> Lacey's POV <

*this chapter contains Sophia hate. If you ship Sophiam, don't read ;)*

"So I'm guessing you don't like her?" I chuckled softly.

"Not a single bit. None of the lads do."

"Why's he dating her?"

"I don't know. Modest's idea maybe. We have no idea whatsoever."

We peeked around the corner. I saw a fit girl hugging Liam. She was wearing a tight, short, dress that showed a bit too much of her junk. I didn't like her already. She had brunette hair and brown eyes. I could see the bags under her eyes that the concealer did a poor job of hiding. I could right off the bat she was wearing way too much makeup.

I was wearing a coat of mascara, a bit of concealer and blush. But her? Woah.

5-7 coats of mascara. Too much blush. Bright red lipstick. Too bright. Too much concealer too. It's like she was hiding the skin tone of her face. I swear her face was a tone lighter than the rest of her body. Her blush was bright red. She had smokey eyes with eyeliner. And no. Just no. Too much. I just wanted to pull my eyeballs out at the sight of her face.

"Liam. I missed you so much!" She tried to pull off a giggle, but ended up in a coughing fit. Her voice was raspy and strained. There's the voice of a smoker.

Her voice was equivalent to the sound of nails sliding down a chalk board. I was wanted to stab her throat.

"I missed you too, Soph." Holy llamas. This was Sophia? I was expecting maybe this was her evil sister, a visiter, neighbor, a slut. (Well she is a slut by the looks of it). But ermergerd. If someone would've told me Liam would be dating this girl in the next few years I would've laughed and told them to screw themselves.

What's Liam doing?

"I want you to meet my best friend!" Liam said happily. Damn. This boy is oblivious. He's completely blind compared to Harry.

Harry slowly pulled me down the hall and whispered in my ear, "Play along."

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Little fucker.

Harry loosely put his arm over my shoulder. I glared daggers at him but he ignored me.

As Harry brought me closer and Sophia narrowed her eyes at me, I could tell she saw me as competition.

"Soph, this is my best friend Lacey."

"And my girl friend," Harry said.

Now I understood what card he was playing. He acting like I was taken so she would lay off.

Liam narrowed his eyes at Harry. "Excuse me?"

Harry just gave him a forced smile. "Let's go watch the tellie, Lacey."

I nodded as he rushed me into the living room.

"Thank you," I whispered. Because to be honest, if Harry hadn't saved me from that drama, I would've broken down.

"No problem."

"It's gonna be a problem with Liam."

Harry grunted. "I just saved his best friend from that bitch. He should thank me."

I laughed. It nice to laugh with Harry. It wasn't forced or anything. It was easy and care free. Like Liam and I's relationship before he went to the X-Factor.

Before that. Life was pretty easy.

I missed those times.

Harry and I piled onto the couch, squishing Niall, Zayn, and Louis.
