I had just awaken from the sounds of shuffling in our small bedroom. I looked to see August counting money from our little box that we had with emergency money he had the phone up to his ear so of course I was wondering who he was talking to. I sat and listened

"Alright I love you guys to bye"he says as he hangs up the phone. "Hey baby I was just talking to my parents Ima be sending them the money in a while so we won't have to owe them anymore" "what about the bills August how are we gonna pay the bills our lights been off for about 2 weeks" he just stared at me. I could tell that he wanted to slap me because I know our situation and I been complaining since we got the letter saying our lights are being cut off. I woke up and did my daily morning routine. When i went in the room august was still asleep of course he was it was around 8 am.
I went downstairs and started on breakfast taking out sausages hash-browns and the little muffin things you use to make a sausage muffin.

After about 20 min i finished cooking the food and made his plate "here baby"i said "thanks girl"he said sitting down eating his food .
