A/N- From now on the P.O.V. of the chapter is going to be the name of the chapter so don't get confused if there are two Alex's or Jonas's. But if e chapters name is 'The Thing In The Woods: Ch. 5' There is no P.O.V.
School was easy for me. It wasn't that hard and the whole school is done with finals and even though the teachers said that we couldn't talk about the test, we still did. Secretly, of course. Everyone said that they were easy. School couldn't be easier. For Jonas, even though he has anxiety (and some other mental disorders) and in the advanced classes, it was the easiest thing ever.
We were almost done with school and only had 20 days left. "18 more days left," Jonas said out of nowhere. I replied with, "I thought it was 20." "Well you were wrong." Jonas gave a small little smirk at me. God he can sometimes be a real pain in the a**.
Once school got out only Cadie, Vinny, Sarah, and I were the only ones to walk home from our group. Jonas has an after school activity and it helps him, with the mental illnesses. I got home and I realized that my dad isn't home like usual. They both didn't have work today so I was confused. I walked inside and asked my mom, "Where's dad?" My mom gave a slight frown and said, "He left." "What do you mean?" I asked. "He's gone. He got the divorce papers." I was slightly shocked but inside my head I screamed 'YES!' but didn't show it.
I hated my father. Hated him. My father was the worst. He always blamed things on me, beat me, yelled at me, and much more. This was one of the most happiest moments in my life. And then there is something to ruin it. All things happy in my life get destroyed so easily. Life hates me. And I'm just waiting for it to happen.
I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I had this strange feeling that someone or something was watching me. It was dark so I couldn't see that well. I heard a noise very nonhuman and the I saw it. There was some type of thing watching me. It was floating in midair and was glowing. Then I started to move closer to me. I started to freak out realizing that it was night time and I remember it being 3:30 a couple minutes ago.
I heard the thing make a noise then disappeared. Then I noticed a note on my desk that I had. It read, Don't trust anyone, the woods are your only friends. Then everything went black.
