Victor leaves the basement.
Annika, Jamal and Danya come out of the closet.
"Can we seriously go now?!" Jamal asks.
"What was Victor drinking?" Annika asks.
They hear a distant scream coming from the basement.
"I'm out!" Danya runs back through the secret passage and the others frantically follow.

The next morning in Annika and Danya's room, they talk.
"Last night was scary." Danya says.
"That scream was what scared me." Annika shivers.
"I wonder what it was." Danya says.
They hear a meow and turn to see a black cat.

At breakfast, the Sibuna Club talks.
"The cat must have been what made the noise." Annika explains.
"The noise was a scream!" Jamal points out.
"Here, kitty, kitty." Victor comes in, saying.
"Are you looking for a cat or something?" Jamal asks.
"Get to school." Victor leaves.
"It's obviously Victor's cat." Danya states. "I'm keeping it in our room."
Elayna comes in. "Annika, I'm ready to talk."
Jamal and Danya leave.
Elayna sits next to Annika.
"I need your locket so I can show my friend." She explains. "He's an antique dealer. He thinks your locket is very important. So, I was going to show it to him. Will you come with me?"
"I guess." Annika gives in.

"Don't go!" Jamal tells Annika when she tells him about Elayna.
"I could find out information about the locket!" Annika argues. "It's history! I won't even take the locket! I'll leave it with you."
"Thanks." Jamal smiles.
"Where's Danya?"
"She's staying home to stay with the cat." He explains.

At Hades House, Danya wakes up and finds the cat gone.
"Kitty?!" She shouts.
Trudy enters. "How's your fever?"
"Where's the cat?!" Danya asks.
"There is no cat!"
"I'm not even sick! I stayed home for nothing! My perfect attendance is down the hole!" Danya runs out.
"Danya!"

Later, Elayna leads Annika through the woods.
"So, where are we going?" Annika asks.
"Somewhere!"
"How much further?" She asks.
"Stop complaining!" Elayna shouts.
"I wasn't-"
"Get down!" Elayna pulls Annika behind a bush.
Annika looks and sees Victor carrying Rufus's unconscious body into a van.
"That's Rufus!" Elayna says.
"But that's the man I saw visiting Sarah!" Annika adds.
Victor drives away with Rufus.
"Why did Victor just kidnap Rufus?!" Elayna exclaims. "And who's Sarah?! You have to tell me what you know!"
Annika takes a deep breath. "It all starts with my club. Sibuna."
