As Smile and I ran, I suddenly heard screaming. I strayed away from Smile to find the sorce, but he followed. There was a couple in front of... Jeff the Killer!? He was advancing on them with a knife drawn. I felt a suden urge to rip through flesh as the boy, who was around his early twenties, jumped at Jeff and yelling,"run!" To the girl. Being a wolf, I had that earnest desperation to chase after the fleeing. She didn't get past the treeline. I tackled her and she shrieked,"help!" A wicked and wolfish smile crept onto my lips as I positioned my mouth about her neck.
The guy ran towards us and yelled,"Hannah!" Before a knife protruded out from his neck. Hannah started to cry.
"Please don't cry..." I whispered in her ear(yes, as a wolf) before ripping out the back of her neck. She didn't scream. But with the back of her neck went her larynx as well.
"Smile, who's she?" Jeff asked the dog next to him. He barked at me to speak up.
"Broken... and I assume your name is Jeff?"
He nodded."So, why're you here? Smile?" He turned to the grinning husky. Smile just started to trot off, of which I followed him. Jeff followed.
"So Smile, why are you bringing a talking wolf? Are you gonna let Rake go after her?"
Smile shook his head. Not fifteen minutes later, the great mansion was in view. But I heard hissing of a cat and another wierder hissing sound. I raced ahead to check on the commotion and there was a semi-small cat, its fur on end and flanks arched as it hissed at a creature that looked like the Rake. I ran forward, grab the cat by her scruff and wall jumped away. I lightly set the cat down, but she kept hissing by my paws. Rake turned around and snarled, ready to leap but, a large figure walked out of the front doors.
Rake, that's enough, now you leave Kit alone."
Rake stopped a second later. Jeff stood and looked as innocent as possible, which made it obvious that he did something wrong.
"Who's this?" Slenderman faced towards me.
"I'm Broken," I said, looking at the cat who was wrapping herself around my legs.
"Oh, well Smile wouldn't of brought you if you weren't special. What do you do, show me." He kindly enough demanded.
I chanted something is Dovahzul (dragon tongue/language) and I turned into a humanish form.
"Fight Jeff, and don't be afraid of hurting him. Jeff, this is your punishment and her enrollment task."
"What!? Alright then," Jeff said turning to me and drawing his knife.
"Don't go easy on me," I smiled crookedly.
He charged first, but I lazily side stepped. He saw that coming so he swung to the side. I grabbed his arm and spun him around, then kicking him in the face so hard I'm sure he saw stars. (If you've ever seen RWBY Yellow Trailer, how Yang disbatches Melany.) The fight was over.
"Ahh... shit..." he muttered on the ground. "The unbeatable Jeff has been beat. I don't believe it," came BEN's voice."How'd you do that? I can't seem to lay a finger on him."
A small smile crept onto my lips."Self-training for 5 years after being abandoned. Plus he didn't put up much of a fight."
Slenderman faced me.
"Welcome to the family," he said, as plain as that. Bit I'm sure I caught a hint of excitement. The cat came up to me and shimmered, quickly turning into a human with cat ears and a tail.
"I'm Kitten, but call me Kit. Please do tell me that your ears and tail will stay like that as you're in human form...!"
"Yeah," I smiled, pure joy spreading on my face. I had been alive for almost eighteen years and never once had I found someone exactly like me... well, almost if you put aside that she's a neko and I'm an okami.
