Chapter 7: Really, Really?

Cody's POV...

When I was younger, I've always dreamt of being a princess. A princess always had to have a father, me I didn't. I was like a princess with an evil step father, and a clueless mother. My mom loved me, my mom was a lawyer, I don't understand what she saw in the man.

He never had a job, he sat around like a lazy bumb, and when I got off school, he made me fetch him a beer. I finally got around to telling my mom she makes mistakes in her life, but he was the worse she's ever made. We then moved to Atlanta, I didn't make friends, but I started watching the walking dead all of the seasons up until season 4. I was 14 by then, my mom still never told me of my father. People wondered why I don't look like my mom, or her ex boyfriend. I just told them, my dad I will never know. Now I know of existence, I have a sister and 2 half sisters!

Now that I have a dad, a best friend who loves me like Fam, I can finally be a princess.

"CODY!" Chandler yells.

"CHANDLER!" I mocked.

"T.W.D has a red carpet premiere and I want you to be my date!" He said.

It's the beginning of August now, Chandler and I have grown closer. I've generated feelings for him now, but I don't like them get the best of me.

"No... Chandler I'm sorry!" I said.

"It only has one answer, the answer is okay." He said.

"But I have one answer for you, and that is No!" I said.

"Why, I already have a designer, and a make up artist ready!" He said.

"Okay, fine... Do I really need make up though?" I asked.

"Yeah!" He said.

"Am I really that ugly?" I asked.

"No I was joking!" He said.

"When is it?" I asked.

"Next week!" He said.

"Okay, I'll be ready!" I said.

"We are leaving on Wednesday because it's in L.A." He said.

"Wow." I said.

Of course I had to find a dress by myself, ahh I'll just call Katie!

"Hey, what's up?" I asked when she answered the phone.

"Nun, how bout you?" She asked.

"Same." I said.

"So I heard Chandler asked you be his date at the red carpet!" She said.

"Yeah," I said.

"I knew he was into you!" She said.

"Well I called to ask you if we should go to The mall in Orlando and get me a red carpet dress?" I said.

"YES, YES, A MILLION TIMES YES!" She said.

"Okay I'll be there tomorrow." I said.

"Okay bye." She said.

"Bye." I said.

When we hung up I packed cloths for 2 days and I was off to Orlando in my moms car. My mom didn't mind me taking it, she never does.

Chandler came along too, I didn't really care, I needed to know what he was gonna wear himself.

When we pulled into Katie's  house she came right out and we left.

"So, the dress should be red, or black, or anything like maroon, or red! It's a red carpet!" She said.

"How bout white?" Chandler said.

"Yeah, how bout that." I said.

"And it'll bring out the beauty in your eyes." He said making me blush insanely.

"Aw.. Stop Chandler." I said.

"I'm sorry!" He said.

"So you guys are gonna be seniors, where are you going to school?" Katie asked.

"For college, I wanna go to NYU or UGA." I said.

"I wanted to go to Missouri university but my parents said go to school with my sister." She said.

"I wanna go to both UGA and NYU." Chandler said.

"Me too..." I said.

We pull into a dress and more store. I walk in and my eyes lite up with wonder and beauty.

Then I see it, the white dress I'd like to wear.

It was white and it had a slit in the right led side. It was strapless and had pearls on the front. I try it on and I fit it. I grab the dress and the cashier grabs it and rings it up.

"There was a sale today so the dress is... $197.34 it was a dress everyone wanted. No one could really fit it, there was a bunch of girls who tried it on, no fit. All of them were to skinny and to large!" She said.

Erm, wow that's mean.

When we got the dress we went to a place to eat, Katie kept looking at me and Chan eating our fries.

Chandler then grabbed a fry and threw it at my face. Katie's face got red and I looked at her.

She kept signaling Chandler and I noticed something was up.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Chandler, come on..." She said.

"Okay, fine." He said.

He walks me outside and we sit on a bench outside of McDonald's.

"So, I was nervous to ask you something. Your not really a person to go around with famous people, but you gave me a chance. You gave me chances in life, you have a wonderful heart. So now, yeah I'm asking you out in front of McDonald's. Will you Cody be my girlfriend?" He asked holding a French fry.

I laughed and grabbed the French fry and plopped it in my mouth.

"I do!" I said.

Katie comes out with a big bag of McDonalds and walks to the car.

"SHOES!" She said...

"Really?" I asked.

"Really, really." She said.

"Really, really?" I asked.

She nodded and we left.
