Hi there!
I wanted to thank all of you who actually take time in reading this story, and I wanted to apologize, too. You will have to bare with me, since I moved and started new school with tons and tons of homework, I mean I have to learn Arabic, which has 28 letters that are written differently depending on a place they are in in the word. -_- I also want to apologize for the length of the chapter and I'm sure it is not really good, but I had to update something for you AWESOME PEOPLE! I want to tell you that I love you all and I am sending you all cookies and gummies mentally :D I am not going to bother you anymore, so you can proceed to the story.
XOXO
“Will you please get out of the God damn bathroom? We’re supposed to share! Do you know what that word even mean? It means that this bathroom should be divided between us!”, Joshua yelled, banging his fist on the door, trying to get me out. I laughed and turned the volume on my phone, playing music really loud.
“Great, now she started playing songs. Ugh!”
Yeah, this has become usual routine in the Willingham’s Mansion. I would wake up earlier so I could take my time, because I’m obviously a girl, and then the jackass on the other side of the door would come and yell for me to come out. Of course, I would completely ignore him.
Now, standing in front of a mirror, I was starting to freak out. Today was Joshua’s plan to reveal me to the school, so with that I could pretty much say, my social life will blossom. And I most certainly wasn’t looking forward to it.
I missed my parents. I still had those dreams about them, but I couldn’t make that sinking feeling inside of me go away. Sometimes I had this weird feeling that I’m just visiting family over summer; that I will come home and see my dad taking care of his roses, and my mother rocking on a chair on the front porch, satisfied by the outcome of her pie. But I knew that was just hopeful thinking. They aren’t here anymore.
“Will you please at least let me in, so we can actually manage to come to school on time? I’m not exactly known for being fashionably late!”
I sighed, pulling the brush through my hair one last time (not that it actually helped). I moved towards the door and opened them; finding Joshua standing there with his hand in the air, ready to knock again.
“The bathroom’s all yours”, I said, giving him a closed mouth smile, waving my hand behind me. “Hurry up, I want to get this over with”, I said, grabbing my phone and heading downstairs.
Once there, I walked to the kitchen, hoping I’d find Caleb, but he wasn’t there. Oh, well. Now I had to wait the jackass mentioned above completely bored.
Before I even got a chance to become bored, a loud ring of the bell rang through the house, making me jump. I headed towards the door, but Josh literally pushed me out of his way, with a toothbrush in his mouth, rushing to the door.
“Tfats fof me!”, he said, giving me thumbs up. I didn’t even ask. Josh was a weird guy. Like, really weird. Shrugging, I left him all the hard work, like walking to the door, answering them, chatting with the person on the door…you know, the usual.
“Amy!”, I heard I tiny voice coming from the stairs. I spun around on my heel, and faced Harry who was grinning. I laughed. Harry was the most cheerful kid I’ve ever seen! He was always smiling, even when he was sleeping, and that was the most adorable thing ever. And he was smiling now, when most people would just want not to interact with others.
“Hey, buddy! Did you sleep well?”, I asked, sitting down on the stairs next to where he was standing and tapping my knee, signaling him to sit in my lap. He actually jumped making me bounce back.
