"Okay students, welcome to semester one of your 10th grade year. My name is Mrs.Cambell, now, we are going to play a game. It's called the "Getting To Know Each Other Game." It is where we all stand up and when I point to you, you say something about yourself. Okay? Does anybody want to go first?" She said.

When nobody stood up she began pointing at people. She was obviously going in a pattern. First all the jocks, then the preppy guys, then the snobby girls, the nerds, then well me.

I looked up for a quick moment to see a finger pointing directly at me.

"Um. H-hi. My name is Amelia, I have known a lot of you guys for most of my life but none of you bothered to get to know me. So, as I was saying. I am 5 foot 4 inches, my favorite colors are black and blue. When I am bored I love to explore and hangout in my tree house in the woods at my dads place. I like to listen to "Emo" music as you people call it. I've been to 6 concerts in my entire life so far. They were all Black Veil Brides concerts and well. I live with just my dad so...." I said stuttering and trailing off my sentence.

From the other side of the room I heard a masculine voice say," Ha, why don't you tell anybody about your mom or brother? Emo faggot!"

"What happened with my mother and my brother is none of your goddamn business. Keep your nose out of where it don't belong.  You don't know what it is like to not grow up with a drunk for a good portion of your life and with my brother, don't even bring him into this. So shut up and keep your mouth closed. I already dread coming back to this school because of you jerks. Now leave me alone. If you have another thing to say to me that is disrespectful, do it after-school when I can actually punch you." I said with my face slightly red due from the anger. After that long speech, I just sat down and he shut up. Behind him all you could hear from his buddies is "Ohhhhhhh".

"Well, now that the fight is finished, I have a seating chart for you guys. Just until I learn your names. I am gonna take roll really quick." She said calling out every students name.

After she handed out the work for the day she began walking close to me. Before she got to me, I did what I usually did, slam my face into my binder and went quiet. She tapped my back and tried to get me to talk to her but I didn't answer. After of what seemed to be forever, I sat up to find her sitting at her desk reading a book. She was reading Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief By: Rick Riordan.

**Wow, I didn't know that people still read those kinds of books**

I looked down on top of my binder a slip of paper the paper said," If you need somebody to talk to, come see me after class." I just shrugged it off and threw it into my front pocket.

After that I don't exactly remember what happened, I looked at my desk and folded my arms and laid my face in them. I remember falling asleep and dreaming of my mom. She had her long, dark brown hair up in a pony tail. She was wearing her light blue knee length dress with a pair of black flats. "Amelia, I am sorry I never treated you the way you deserved to be treated. I feel horrible knowing that I was never able to forgive you. I am so so sorry. I hope you forgive me. Remember me as your mother, nothing else." She said.

"It's okay, I understand. I forgive you. I love you so so so much." I said reaching for her as she slowly faded away.

That is when I woke up in tears. I saw my mother the way she looked when she was a teenager. She looked like me. I sat up when the bell began to ring. I wiped away my tears and tried to sneak past my teacher. Mrs. Cambell stopped me in the hallway. My feelings took over and I cried on her and told her whats wrong. Afterwards, she called my dad to pick me up from school.
