"Are you okay?" My dad asked me as we drove down East Boulevard which was one street away from my home.

"I am fine dad. I don't want to talk about it right now. I just want to go home and hide in my room, if that's okay with you anyway..." I say slowly and quietly.

"That's okay Amelia, I understand. Tell me when you are ready, okay?" He said as we pulled back into the driveway.

My house was a light grey two-story home with a attached Garage. Outside there are varieties of flowers with a bunch of colors. When you first walk in, that is my mud room which is for shoes, and our coats. We have a washroom that has a washer and a dryer. When you walk up the stairs, there is my kitchen with all of your cooking necessities. If you go straight and to the left, there is our living space, a bathroom, and my dads room. If you go back into the kitchen and you go to the right, there is my dining room. If you go farther to the right, and up the set of stairs, you go straight into the hallway and there is a bathroom. Finally, at the end, there is my bedroom. My bedroom has dark blue walls with black stripes. My bed is a twin size and has jack skellington bed spread.

I threw my bag on the floor and jumped and fell backwards onto my bed and I just laid there. I rolled over to where my face was in my pillow and screamed. I screamed as loud as I could. I screamed for my mother and for me seeing her, I screamed for my brother, who sadly passed away too soon. I screamed for my father, I knew he was going through a rough time without my mom and my brother.

I couldn't stand being in my room alone I had nobody to talk to. I need somebody to talk to somebody that doesn't know me. Somebody who will always be there for me. Just somebody, anybody. I stood up and pulled my beanie back on my head and pulled on my sneakers. I grabbed my black jacket and slid it onto my arms. I opened the door to my bathroom, fixed my makeup.

"Dad, I'm going for a walk for awhile." I said sternly walking out the door.

I walked out of the house and began walking down the road past my neighbors house. I never really knew my neighbors. All I knew about them is that the neighbors to my right has a daughter about my age. She is 15 and 1/2 years old I think. She has long blonde hair with black glasses that look like something a nerd would wear. She loved the color yellow and she always wore blue jeans. As I walked past her house, she was outside watering flowers and painting their chicken coop.

"Hey Amelia!" She said yelling down to me waving.

**I hid in my jacket trying to make her not see me**

She then ran up to me behind me and gave me a huge squeeze.

"I said Hi." Jane said.

"Hey Jane, long time, no see." I said mumbling.

"I was just wondering, do you want to help my mom and I finish the chicken coop?" She said grinning.

"Um, sure I guess?" I said kinda confused.

"Don't worry, we don't bite, I promise." She began to say while tugging on my hand.
