After a while of conversation, you pulled out your phone and looked at the time. "It's getting kinda late," you told the boys, slipping your phone back into your pocket. "I should get going back home."
Osomatsu nodded. "Would you like me to walk you home?" He asked.
Karamatsu stood. "No, buraza, I'll walk her home. I do owe it to her after all, for not even looking at her until we got here."
"No really, really," you said, holding up your hands. "I'm not that far from here, I can go by myself."
"Nonsense!" Karamatsu said, flashing another one of his bright smiles at you. "I won't let my Karamatsu girl walk home alone!"
You rolled your eyes, although you couldn't help but smile. You sort of liked him better like this, even though it was a little over the top sometimes. "I'm not your Karamatsu girl," you said with a laugh.
Ichimatsu muttered something under his breath, referring to Karamatsu with what sounded like... Shittymatsu?
"Well then please, dear (Y/N), allow me to at least see you off," Karamatsu said with a sweeping bow, then looked back up at you.
How could you say no? His expecting yet still ego-inflated gaze was fixed on you. You nodded, returning the smile.
His smile got even wider, which you didn't even think could be possible. He took your hand gracefully and started gently pulling you to the front of the house. You turned and waves over your shoulder, calling "bye!" To the other brothers, who returned the farewell.
Karamatsu opened the door for you and led you outside, finally letting go of your hand. He shut the door behind him. The orange sun reflected off of his sunglasses and made it seem like he was radiating light.
"Listen, (Y/N), uh..." He started. His voice was completely different than it had been a few moments ago. He wasn't being overly cocky or trying hard to seem cool. In fact he sounded... Almost nervous. You were slightly taken aback by this sudden change. "I'm sorry for ignoring you for that bit there when you first came up to us."
You waved a hand in dismissal, smiling. "No, it's fine, really."
"I don't even know what I was doing," he said, blowing off your comment. He took off his sunglasses and folded them, stuffing them into his hoodie pocket. "I guess I was just really surprised to see you again." His cheeks seemed to redden, but you couldn't tell in this light.
"Yeah, me too. But I'm glad I did," you replied. He met your eyes and smiled; a real, genuine smile this time.
"You know... (Y/N)... When we were in high school--" he stopped and let out a laugh. It was in between natural and the fake forced laugh that he usually used. "Never mind, it's stupid."
"No tell me!"
"Uh-uh."
"Kara, that's not fair, you already started and got me curious! You have to finish!"
He sighed heavily, pretending it was a huge burden. He looked away, scratching the back of his head. "I had this huge crush on you in high school. It was so dumb." He grinned sheepishly, and he was definitely blushing now.
You laughed. "Aw, no way! Me too! That's kinda crazy!" You said with a wide grin.
Karamatsu put on his egotistical smile again and slid his sunglasses out, putting them back on his face. "Of course you did, how could anyone resist Matsuno Karamatsu?"
You laughed at his ridiculous antics and told him goodbye. He waved as you left.
So he had had a crush on you as well... Huh. Too bad neither of you had said anything. Oh well, too late now... right?
