Charlotte and Charmaine

Chapter One

Charmaine’s POV

"Hey Josh! Have you seen Charlotte? I dont see her anywhere. Did she skip classes today? Oh my gosh! She skipped her class today didn’t she? Where is she? How could she not tell me. She’s.....” Josh covered my mouth before I could speak.

“Charmaine! Calm down, will you? It’s not like she’s in trouble or something. She’s not yet ready to go back to school. You know she was really hurt after what you and Kevin did. They broke up because of you. How could you do that to her? She’s your sister.” Josh said.

“How many times do I have to tell you that nothing happened between me and Kevin. I was just spying when everything happened so fast. It was all a mistake. I love Charlotte and I dont wanna hurt her. It was all a set-up that Alexis made.” Josh kept his mouth shut while I explained everything over and over again.

This was the reason why Charlotte didn’t go to school today. It was Saturday. Alexis, the most popular girl at Mayville High or the so called ‘Queen bee-yotch’ invited me and Charlotte at her party. At first, I told Charlotte not to come since we’re not really a friend of Alexis and it’s a really bad idea. I could sense that it will only cause us trouble but Charlotte forced me to go with her. Even though we are twins, we still have our opposite side. Charlotte is more of a bad-ass girl, she loves to party, making friends with the bad ass kids, rebelious but sweet, while I’m the nerdy girl, loves to stay quiet and invisible as possible but it’s really hard when your twin is the second popular girl. I love to get high grades and Charlotte isn’t really worried with her grades at all. Going back to the explanation. I didn’t say no to her since I really love Charlotte. Before we went to the party, she helped me picked up the dress I’m wearing to the party. She curled my hair, put a light make-up on. I was wearing my cutest pair of jeans, smoking hot heels and my cute tube top. It was almost 8:00 when we got to Alexis PARTY. The music is really loud. Red cups are everywhere. People are dancing on the floor, most of them are drunk. “Hey” I greeted Alexis.

“Hey, please come in and enjoy” she said with a wide smile (What a bitch)

 “Can I use your bathroom, I really need to pee” I excused myself.

 “Yeah, go upstairs and turn right” she pointed out the direction of the bathroom.

 “I’ll see you later sis” Charlotte shouted before I went upstairs. “Yeah! Im getting laid tonight” She shouted again. My twin is a whore when she’s in a party.

 It was 9:30pm already. My sister is dancing and she’s drunk. I saw Kevin going upstairs with a blonde girl. I followed both of them and saw them going in one of the rooms upstairs. I texted Charlotte to meet me upstairs at the third room. “I’ll be there in 10 minutes” she replied. It was exactly 8 minutes when the girl was out. In my shock, the girl was Alexis. She smiled at me. “Kevin is calling you” she said. I knew this wasn’t going to end well. I went inside the room as silent as I could be. I saw Kevin lying on the bed with his face on the pillow.

“Alexis, come here I need another round” He said while his face is still burried on the pillow. I walked as slowly as I can. I was almost near him when he grabbed me in my arm and I fall on the bed. I was on top of him. He was drunk and its dark, he thinks I was Alexis. I didn’t move because I was so shock. He pulled me closer to him and kissed me on the neck and it feels really good, but it’s also bad to make-out with my twin’s boyfriend. I was about to escape the so-good-but-also-not-good kiss of him but I was too late. The door opened and Charlotte was standing. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped so low. I was going to explain when she came closer to me and slap me so hard.

 “So you want me to come here just to see you and Kevin making-out? What the fuck is wrong with you Charmaine!” she shouted and a few crowds were formed outside the room.

“No! We didn’t have sex” I replied feeling embarrased.

“Oh really? Fuck you Charmaine! I’m out of here. Im not going home and Im not taking you home! The next time you and Kevin have sex make sure not to text me. You’re just hurting me! Fuck you Charmaine! Fuck you!” Charlotte walked out of the room. Kevin was in shock when he saw me and not Alexis. He got out of  bed with the bed sheet wrap around his body and ran outside to talk to Charlotte 

“Surprise?” Alexis said with so much happiness. I could really punch her if I wanted to but I dont want to be the center of attraction at school.

“Is this a set-up? How could you. What have I done wrong to you?” 

“Oh! You really don't know anything don't you?”

“What? You’re confusing me Alexis”

“You’re sister, is a bitch! You know why? Kevin was supposed to be mine but he loves Charlotte more than me. So I set all this up to make her feel the pain. I want them to break-up!”

 “You’re mean and a selfish bitch!”

I went downstairs and I found Josh talking to some girls. Josh is my sister’s best friend. He’s hot and good looking with a bad-boy look which most girls would fall for. Even I would fall for. I grabbed Josh and asked him to take me home. 

“What happened?” He asked me while driving.

“I’ll explain everything on Monday” and thats when the akward silent started. After 10 minutes I was already home. I gave Josh a small smile before leaving.

“Promise me to explain everything on Monday” he said before driving off.

“Okay.”

And that’s what happened during the party that made Charlotte so mad at me.
