Bella's POV

"Mommy, I'm tired. Can we take a break?" Renesmee whimpers.

I turn to her forgetting that she is only half vampire.

"Yes baby. We can take a break."

We all come to a stop. I think we are in southern Canada but I've just been running and running until I feel we are safe.

"Are we almost there?" Renesmee asks

"I don't know. I really don't know." I answer her feeling terrible for making her run to far without a break.

"Bella we need to get going." Carlisle says.

"I know but Renesmee isn't as strong so she needs a break." I answer

"C'mon squirt! Climb on!" Emmett says bending down so Renesmee can get onto his back.

"Alright. Let's go." Carlisle says.

He has been acting strange since the vision. It's probably just the fact that the Volturi are coming back. He's always feeling protective of his family.

I smile thinking of the good days without the Volturi trying to kill us.

We start running again. This time I'm running more north. Maybe we will end in England or something. I've always wanted to go there. I don't know. I guess it will find out.

"Bella!" Edward yells.

I look over and he is now running next to me.

"Hi" I say with a smile on my face. I'm always glad to see him. No matter the danger we are in.

"What are you thinking about?" He says.

"Umm. Actually I'm not really sure. I've been thinking back on old memories of us not being hunted..." I say with a weak smile to try and not sound so dull and broken.

Edward looks at me and I can tell he doesn't believe my bad humor.

"Bella. We are going to be fine. I'm not going to let them hurt my family. Not after all we have been through."

I smile. I want to just stop and wrap my arms around his neck. I want to feel his breath on my lips again; his arms around me; his used to be cold skin on my now cold skin. I miss him even though he was running right next to me.

I look down thinking if those memories and not being able to kiss my husband though he is standing not even 5 feet from me.

"Edward. I miss you. I miss us." I say because I can't hole it in anymore.

Edward smiles.

"We will need to stop at a hotel, wherever we are, when nightfall hits. We can miss each other there."

He smiles and winks and for once during this long trip I feel happy. I feel safe. I love him.
