Chapter 6: Home Sweet. . . Eh?!

By the time the hospital gave permission for Madeline to leave, the said Canadian knew all of the basics of the social networking website. Gilbert even managed to persuade her to make an account. The content? Her native country of course.
Once Madeline acquired her clothes back, she abandoned the hospital once and for all, walking gangly since the usually awkward girl is now stuck with a stranger. That is oddly attractive. While the Canadian was blushing up the storm of the year, the stranger in question started to give himself satisfaction for convincing her to make the account.
In honesty, it wasn't really that much of value to the blonde, maybe just some Internet friends. To the albino though, that was a whole different story. No details in to that though.
As they were strolling towards Gilbert's home, Madeline took in the scenery that she was passing by. It was autumn now, and everything in her view was simply stunning, most likely since she wasn't used to it in her home country.
The trees' leaves were in the perfect hue of orange, the colour of the sunsets in paradise. Although some leaves were scattered around the streets, it wasn't like her. . . Si--.
At the thought of her sister, Madeline clutched onto her stomach, some of the lingering guilt creating a knot in her abdomen. This sudden reaction made Gilbert worry, the said man usually not giving a care in the world for others besides himself and /sometimes/ his brother.
"O-Oi! Are you alright?!" Gilbert stammered out, not planning for the statement to come out faltering. Madeline only winced inwardly and smiled half-heartedly at the albino. "It's alright. . . I-I'm fine, eh." She said softly, barely audible yet melodic to Gilbert. The pace of his heart rapidly increased, being hypnotized by the words that echoed in his mind aimlessly.
Of course, like every beautiful daydream, his mild shock of the word were annihilated. By the time he ruptured from his trance, he saw that Madeline was a block in front of him, facing him with a bewildered expression. Her blonde hair cascaded all the way down until her mid-stomach area. It was just so different from his spiky rough-looking hair that he was just drawn to it. The result of this was for him to stay glued to the pavement.
Soon enough, he was permitted to walk towards her once more and despite the attempt to act like nothing is happening, the outcome was just the opposite. Gilbert's cheeks were crimson and if Antonio were to be there, the bickering and teasing of his blush would have no end.
Huffing to himself, Gilbert looked at the blonde that was next to him. Madeline was examining the gravel road, even though it was just an ordinary road. Her hands were fidgeting and had the occasional tug at the hem of her shirt. Like him, Madeline was blushing furiously and it enhanced her cuteness by just a lottle. It's a little, but a lot, and the false word perfectly described the shy Canadian. Gilbert had an urge to just hold her hand, but he just couldn't find the courage to do so, unlike the other girls he has dated. 'Huh. . . Wonder what's up with that.' He thought to himself. He gave a snicker at that, thinking up one of his 'awesome' plans.

After a while, they reached a grand house, almost a mansion really. The exterior was of a light brown, in which made the frames of the window, which were a ceramic white, stand out. The door was a wood of a similar colour of the paint of the house, which made it blend in. If someone were to see the house at a glance, they would most likely be in a state of confusion. Madeline looked up at the house in awe, making Gilbert not help but give a slight smirk.
"So, do you like it?" Gilbert looked at the Canadian who was still absorbing the house. Not looking at him, Madeline nodded.
"Oui. . ." Madeline said, not able to say anything else.
"Good! Because you're going to stay here for a while!" Gilbert gave a grin and carried the blonde over his shoulder and commenced to walk towards the door.
"E-Eh?! Non! Non!" Madeline tried to break free, but after a while she complied. As a result, Gilbert just cackled, being amused of her struggle.
"Kesesesesesese~"
