"Babe?" A voice said faintly. "Gloria, it's time to get up. I made breakfaaaaast!" He sang.

My eyes snapped open and I quickly jumped out of bed then ran to the kitchen. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and orange juice.

"How did I know you were going to run?" Daniel laughed. I turned around to see the love of my life leaning against the wall, drinking his orange juice. I slowly paced myself towards him and left a sweet kiss on his cheek.

"Did I tell you I love you?" I winked and smiled.

It's been a few weeks since the incident with Joey but I managed to pull myself together. I found a job in this pottery shop across the street where I not only get to make things like vases, cups, etc., but sell them as well. Diane, the store's manager, told me that I had a talent and it made me feel very happy that she thought this.

I have my own little studio where I make these pottery items. It's become more of a second home and a stress relieving sort of thing. Whenever I'd get stressed out about how Daniel and I are going to pay the next week's rent or when I think about what Joey almost did to me, I run here and start to go into a place where everything's safe. Where everything around me vanishes and it's just me without problems.

As per usual, Daniel got ready to go to work and so did I. We locked the door behind us, kissed each other, then parted.

I walked into the store and was quickly greeted by another employee.

"Morning, Glo!" Said Rachel. She was 18 with gorgeous golden, wavy hair and a beautiful smile. I absolutely adored her.

"Morning, babe! How are you?"

"I'm alright. You going into the studio, again?" She raised an eyebrow.

"You know me all too well!" I smiled. Walking into my relaxation palace, I turned on the song The Love Club by Lorde and sat down.

Diane left me a list of pottery items I needed to complete by the end of the week. Seeing as it would take me the whole day to finish some of these items, I quickly got to work on a vase she put great detail into when describing what she wanted. I closed my eyes, let my fingers do the work and got lost into the song.

'This dream isn't feeling sweet
We're reeling through the midnight streets
And I've never felt more alone
It feels so scary getting old

...

You're the only friend I need
Sharing beds like little kids
Laughing till our ribs get tough
But that will never be enough'

After a few hours and this song on repeat, I opened my eyes and saw what my hands have created. A few vases, mugs, and plates to Diane's request. I stood up, feeling beyond calm, and turned the music off.

A soft knock was heard from my door.
"Come in!" I called.

"Hey, it's Rachel! A beautiful lady is out here and said she knows you? She said she wanted to catch up. Her name is Crystal Reed, I think?"

What? My eyes widened in astonishment and that alarmed Rachel.

"Oh crap, should I not have let her in?!" She whispered.

"No, it's okay. Tell her to come in."

She looked hesitant at first but waved Daniel's ex inside of my now destroyed comfort zone.

"Crystal."

"Hi Gloria, how've you been?" She smiled devilishly.

"I've been alright." I showed no emotion.

"Oh, soften up babe. Did I tell you that I've moved in this small little town?" She smiled with wide eyes, cocking her head to the side.

"Wh..what?" I shook my head.

"That's right, darling. I've managed to get a job at this little shit store too!"

No. Not this. Not the store. Not my only place of comfort when Daniel's away.

"I'm just a block away. Come say hi if you've got time. I'll be coming over for dinner!"

"Over my dead body." I stood tall. Who the hell does she think she is? Coming in here and thinking she can come over MY apartment and have dinner. "Never going to happen." I finished.

"Alright. Maybe next time." She winked. Finally leaving the room, I couldn't take it. I blasted my music loudly this time and went straight back to making another vase.

"GLORIA, WHO WAS THAT?!" Rachel tried screaming over the music. I looked up and responded.

"DONT WORRY ABOUT IT!" I yelled back.

I sighed in frustration as I didn't seem to be relaxing. Why can't she find her own fucking man.
