Opposites Attract (A Harry Styles fanfiction)

Prologue:
I came to Holmes Chapel a few years ago. I used to live in California but my dad got a job offer and we moved here. 

When my dad got the offer, I was so excited. I needed a new start. I needed a break from everything that happened in California. I dont ever, ever want to go back to that Nicole, it was horrible.

I am seventeen almost eighteen and currently in high school in my last year.  I have straight blonde hair but it tends to get curly or wavy at times. The school year is close to an end you could say. It's February 2nd and my birthday is on February 16th and I'm excited but also not. I don't want a big thing for my birthday and no one seems to understand that.

"Guys stop planning!" I yelled at my three best friends, my mom, and my dad. 

"I told you that I don't want a big thing!"

"Well we want you to have such a great seventeeth birthday Nicole!" my best friend Cassie said.

"No I don't!" i yelled once again.

We were now sitting in my living room fighting about a party.

"We are throwing you a party whether you like it or not" my other best friend Alexandra (Alex for short) said.

"Well good luck because the birthday girl isn't going to be there" i said and walked into the kitchen.

"Honey let us at least throw you a small party" I heard my mom say.

"No mom! I said no party now done!" i said and went straight into my room upstairs and locked the door.

I changed out of my clothes which were a Jack wills sweatshirt, jeans and my black boots into a white tank top, and grey sweatpants.

I went on my laptop and looked up random shit and then I went onto Instagram.

' Slut. slut, damn da cleave, what the hell, slut, decent' were the only pictures I saw.

I heard my name being called from downstairs but I ignored it.

"Nicole! Nicole" I heard. "Nicole Mary Milburn!" I heard.

Crap why the middle name?!? and why my full name god damnit!

"I'm coming my god!" I yelled and went downstairs.

"We won't do something big for your birthday" my dad said.

"Thank you' I said.

"But that doesn't stop us from getting you gifts" Cassie said.

"No guys!" I whined

"Too bad!" My other best friend Stephanie said.

"Ugh!" I yelled and stomped again up the stairs.

"Nicole!" my mom yelled again

"What!?" I yelled back louder.

"Nevermind ms grumpy pants" I heard her say.

I dreaded school the next morning but I managed to get up.

I didn't take a shower because I took one yesterday so I changed into a black golden heart tank top, with ripped jeans and my black vans.

When I got to school I noticed that kid Harry. He was the bad ass kind of guy.

As I was at my locker I heard their conversation.

"So Harry what did you do for your birthday yesterday?" that kid Zayn said.

"Nothing just stayed home.' He said and then they started laughing.
"Just kidding went out" he said.

I then walked to my first class and I was greeted by Stephanie in her seat when I got there.

"Did you hear about the party?" Stephanie asked me.

"What party?" I asked.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you yesterday! Louis invited us to Harry's and Zayns party on Friday!' she said

"I don't think ill go" I said.

"Uh ya you are. Me, you, Cassie, and Alex are going. We are all meeting up at Cassie's house and then we are going. " Stephanie said.

Before I could protest, the teacher walked in.

The lesson was boring and I was wondering why Louis invited us to that party.

Soon enough the lesson was over and we were dismissed.

I was about to tell Stephanie about how I'm not going to the party when we got outside but Louis came in the way.

"So Stephanie did you tell Nicole?" he asked.

"Yeah. We are coming all four of us" she said.

"No I'm- " I said but got cut off

"Yes she is. See you Friday" Stephanie said when he was walking away.

"Steph, I'm not-" I got cut off again.

"Bye gotta go to my next class!" she said and ran down the hall.
