An hour later everyone is gone, nobody has said a word to me except for Angie, she understands me and is getting one of Cody's Chaffers to drive me to my aunts house in Cali so I don't have to take a train.
I walk back into the bus and get my purse, I see Cody lying on the couch with his back towards me.
I put my purse around and body and walk to the door.
"Bye Cody." I whisper... No response. My worst fear is that he finds someone else, I hope I'm not making a mistake, I hope he realizes that what I'm doing is best for both of us.
I walk out as Brad puts my last suitcase in the trunk, he looks at me and smiles and I give him a hug.
"Thanks Brad."
"Anytime sweety." He lets go.
"I'm not leaving forever, I'm just staying in Cali for awhile." I smile hoping he understands also.
Angie and Tommy walk up to me,
"Why are you leaving us?" Tommy looks up at me.
"I'm not leaving you Tom I'm just going away for awhile okay?" I get on one knee and give him a hug, I see Alli across the lot looking at me, giving her an apologetic look she turns away from me and Tom lets go.
I stand up and Angie smiles embracing me.
"Oh it was great having you here hunny!" She squeezes me and I laugh.
"I will see you soon." I smile letting go.
Cody walks out of the bus and we all look at him.
"Cody say goodbye to Liberty." Angie speaks.
He looks at me in the eyes and I smile.
"Bye." He says with a serious face, my smile goes away and my face sinks. One word...
The Chaffer beeps the horn and Cody walks away.
Brad closes the trunk and I get in the back seat and look out at Cody and Alli as they look at me with pain and sadness in their eyes.
I wave at them as the car pulls away, a corner of Allis mouth slowly rises as she gives me a half smile...
And then they are gone.
