"Hey Anna, I bet you can't high dive off that cliff!" Elizabeth yelled- clearly trying to prove that she's braver than I am. My name is Annabeth Moore and I'm an Atlantic Gold Long Fin Siren. Yes, I said siren. The type of mermaid that kills sailors for their meat. The siren that has a voice that was granted by the gods to lure their prey. We all have similar features, that is, you have a flawless face along with a soft body and bouncy hair (thanks to all the seawater). This is the part where I tell you I'm a vegan and I don't eat humans because 'they're nasty.' Well, I'm not one of those, I'm- well... human meat is tangy and delicious with a nice hint of spice that just rolls off your tongue. I know its wrong to eat them but I need to survive along with the rest of my capital. My tail is golden scaled which matches the armor and jewelry that grips onto my chest and forearms. They all clash with my wavy brown hair that reaches my waistline and my crystal blue eyes that shines with my fair colored skin.

"Ha! You're kidding me right? Only a guppy wouldn't jump off a cliff that high. Nobody beats me when it comes to high diving!" I yelled and got out of the water to run up to the top of the cliff. My legs formed, running as fast as they could. I reached the top and practically ran off the cliff without hesitation, into the cold, crisp, shimmery water. My tail immediately sprouting and molding again as the water touched my legs.

Did I forget to mention that we can transform between human and fish? Its honestly one of the best ways to catch our prey; in my opinion. We can only stay human for a short period of time and it's extremely dangerous because our abilities don't work as well as they should. We are nothing but vulnerable. Only in the water we have our voices, our strength, and our speed. On land, all we have is our seduction but that works every time. Our process is pretty simple. We go out at night and transform into humans. We leave clothing behind the rocks because well... all we have is our chest pieces on so, yeah we need clothes. We head to the nearest pub, find some sappy hopelessly romantic guy, lead him to the beach, get him in the water, and well, you know the rest. Most of the sirens end up being murdered during that process actually. You see, we only become human from our waist down and our gills stay there on the side of our rib cage. If a human were too see that, well we practically pronounce ourselves dead because humans will kill us on the spot. Some sirens are stupid enough to let the humans have their way with them. Not me; we get close but right before the breaking point, he's done for it and I chew him up like a T-Bone steak. Said and done.

I live off the shores of Montauk and damn was it beautiful there. I would occasionally lie by shore and dream about life and my purpose in the God forsaken world. At least I can still make the best of it with my three best friends: Anya, Elizabeth, and Tiara. When you have the three of us together well quite frankly, we kick ass, and we aren't afraid to brag about it.

Anya; she's the wisest of us. I'm serious, there's no way she's 20 because acts like she's 1,000-years-old. Her tail is black and has fiery, curly red hair just as long as mine that shows off her green eyes and pale skin. She's a Lava Coral Short Fin Siren, which means she is fond of very heated places like Montauk.

Elizabeth; she's the one of many questions; everything that comes out of her mouth usually starts with a 'Who', 'What', 'When', 'Where', or 'Why.' Her tail is turquoise and shimmered beautifully with her long straight blonde hair. Her eyes were gray, her skin was tan, and had extra long eyelashes that any girl would kill for. She's a Blue Harbor Dance Siren, which means she's the best in our group to catch the sailboats that are filled with our delicious meals.
