"I want him," I turned my body to point at the pirate as I watched him laugh and drink the liquor that was given to him by the bartender. Who also happened to refer to him as 'Captain.'
My friends basically word slapped me with their anger: "Annabeth, are you crazy?" "That's a pirate for hell's sake!" "You'll get yourself killed instantly!" They all scream-whispered at me.
"Oh, relax guys. So what if he kills me, at least I won't have to marry that God awful fish, 'Nathan.'" Saying that guy's name was like being burned with acid. I started to make my way over to this 'Captain' but before I could even get close Anya pulled me back by my forearm.
"Anna, we all care about you so much! We aren't going to let you get yourself killed. Please just trust us on this, he's dangerous." Dangerous. All I could do was nod at her.
They all pulled me into a hug and went off to their meals. I sighed deeply, headed to the bar, and sat on the stools. "One glass of rum on rocks, please." I sat there for what seemed like hours and the word dangerous ran in circles around my head. I watched my friends woo the men inside the pub and slowly watch their males' drink so much that they barley stand. They all left one by one. Elizabeth left first with her potbellied man that was full of whiskey. About 25 minutes later, Tiara dragged her redhead out, hand in hand. It reminded me a savige shark that hasn't eaten in weeks, I laughed at the sight. I watched Anya make her magic but I could tell she wasn't leaving so soon while I had my eye on 'Captain.' I wanted him so bad, my mouth watered as he gulped down his alcohol. This pirate can really drink; I would turn to sea foam before I get him even the slightest bit tipsy. I watched Anya make her move; she's leaving. I stared and waiting patiently as she was about to walk out the door. Just as she opened it she looked right at me, then the pirate, and back to me. I smiled but she shook her head 'no' as if she already knew what I was thinking. I pulled my lips into a thin line and nodded. She smiled and walked out the door with her dinner. I sighed, turned around on my stool, and fingered the rim on my glass; making music.
"You like music, ay Love?" Oh shit. I turned and saw the pirate took the stool next to me. I froze. He's actually talking to me? He cleared his throat and I realized I've been staring at him for the past 10 seconds without a word.
I blushed, "Um, y-yeah. I like it," I smiled slightly.
He flashed a 10,000 lantern bright smile that would make any girl melt. All I did was stare at his unexplainable beauty. "So, what is a girl like you doing at a pub like this?" His charming Irish accent rang bells in my ears.
"My friends wanted to come here and have 'a girl's night' but they all unfortunately left me."
He gave a slight grin, "I would offer to buy you a drink but I can you already set yourself up." I looked at my glass to see I still had some rum in it. Without thinking I downed the last of it and practically slammed it on the table.
"Now you can."
He returned a laugh, "Ah, a lass with humor. I like the way you think, Love." I blushed again. "Ay Mike, can you get a nice bottle of rum for me and the lovely lady."
"Anything for you, Captain James." James.
"James, huh?"
He chuckled, "Ay, I was named after my grandfather. He was a sailor like me. Free to travel the world without any regrets or consequences." He paused and looked deeply hurt but quickly snapped out of it. "I'm sorry but I never got your name, Love."
"It's Annabeth. Annabeth Moore," I held out my hand, he took it and placed a suddle kiss on the back of my hand. Damn... this guy is good.
"Lovely name for a lovely girl," I blushed again. DAMN THESE FEMALE HORMONES! We talked for what seemed like forever and I got to know this pirate more and more. I was definitely taking a liking to him. His scent overpowered me and I just wanted to eat him up, literally. The smell of rum and salt water was almost hypnotizing. I could tell my stomach was on the verge of growling but James saved me from that when he said, "So, what was the purpose of this 'girl's night,' huh?"
I sighed, "I'm supposed to be married in 5 days," I paused, "and it's my birthday..."
The Captain started playing with the tips of my hair, "Let me show you where I live."
Once we exited the pub, he stopped me and waved his sash in front of my face. I nodded and he wrapped the cloth around my eyes. He stood behind me with his hands on my shoulders and walked us to the destination. I didn't care about the consequence of getting yelled at by Anya because my hunger alarm was going insane. We walked near the sea and I started getting nervous as if I was going to be exposed. I started to fidget, "What's wrong, lass?" Shit.
"I- uh, can't swim." Hmm, I guess that's reasonable.
He chuckled, "Don't worry, Love, we won't be in the water but on top of it." On top of it? After some more walking, I heard his boots clank against the surface of wood. He opened up a door and we both stepped inside. He stood in front of me and pressed his chest against mine. He slowly removed the sash and my eyes adjusted to the sudden light. I'm on a pirate ship, with a pirate, and in his bedroom. What the hell did I get myself into? He slowly moved closer to my face and we were millimeters apart but I backed away. "What's wrong, darling?" he purred.
"I- I- can't." My stomach was driving me crazy by telling me to eat him, but I just couldn't.
He stood closer and cupped my face in his hands, "It's ok, what's the worst that could happen?" Umm.... I could EAT you! I kept pulling away. My mind was at 12 different places at once. I looked up at the pirate and he gave me puppy dog eyes. Fuck it.
I walked straight up to the human and crashed my lips to his. I felt a shock of electricity run throughout my body but I didn't let that interfere with my dinner. I hugged his face with my hands as his arms wrapped around my waist. Let's just say for reference that this pirate over here was a good kisser and I mean a really good kisser. I kept my hunger from bursting, having to rip him to shreds, and that has NEVER been so hard for me. He put his hands under my bum indicating for me to jump. When I did, he brought me over to his red velvet satin bed and almost slammed me on it as he climbed on top of me. He just kissed me and kissed me and kissed me. My mind was screaming at me to stop but my body kept me there. I want him and I want him now. I managed to extricate his tongue from the inside of my mouth and let my lips trail over his chin and down to his throat, eager to just end it all here. But of course, he just so happens to choose at that moment to roll so that I'm on top of him.
After a continuous make out session I realized that his shirt is off, my shirt is off, and he's fingering the clasp of my pants. I was going to have to finish this, and fast; I so did not want to end up sleeping with him and die like all the others. Though, come to think of it, he's not actually that bad. Yes, he's a pirate; yes, he will kill me at the sight of my gills but he is fairly hot. And he has nice eyes. They were a startling shade of blue. I like blue eyes... What the hell?! You're about to kill the human, now is not the time to be thinking about his pretty eyes! But his body is just so... STOP ANNA! Throwing all caution to the winds, I pull free of his lips and begin to press my lips to his neck. The blood flows, hot and fast, under his skin, and the feel of it makes a blissful moan escape my lips. I open my mouth, press my teeth to his neck so I can kill him now, and-- I'm thrown across the room. Literally.
My head slams into wood, making little starfish burst in front of my eyes, and I slump against the wall in a daze. "You really thought you had me, didn't you, Love?" the Captain purrs from the bed. He's propped on one elbow, his lips set in a lopsided smirk. Shit. He's a siren hunter. I'm dead.
