"Um...Y/N? Can I ask you a question?" Marcel, the biggest nerd from your school, asks you.

You shrug. "Sure..."

"Look...would you like to go to Prom with me? I promise I'll dress up real nice!" he exclaims.

You have always tried to hide the feelings you've had for him. Everyone was always rude and mean to him, except for you.

"Sure!" you answer, receiving sneers from kids in the room.

"I promise that I'll dress up real nice!" he exclaims one more time, getting up to dance in front of everyone in the cafeteria.



"Phhttt...he's probably gonna look like the piece of crap he is..." someone says.

"He's gonna look uglier than ever..."

"I feel bad for Y/N..."

You sigh, waiting for Marcel at the front of the school. Couples walk inside, hand-in-hand.

You close your eyes, taking a deep breath.

"Y/N?" you hear a familiar voice ask.

"Hmmm..." You open your eyes to see a good-looking boy with curly hair.

"Yes? Do I know you?" you ask, looking closer at this person.

"Y-You look a-amazing, Y/N!" he exclaims.

"MARCEL?!" you ask, obviously surprised.



"It's me, b-babe... I t-told you I would d-dress nicely..." he whispers, smirking.

He takes your hand, and pulls you inside. You hear gasps, and everyone is staring at you two.

"I take that back...lucky girl!"

A girl pops out of nowhere. "Hey, Marcel...my parents aren't home tonight, s-" she begins.

"No t-thank you. I have a date, and I l-like her a lot..." he interrupts.

He pulls you to the dancefloor, where a slow song is playing. He pulls you close into him.

"I knew you were different, and that you didn't care about my looks, but about my heart...I knew how you felt about me..." he whispers, looking at your lips.

"You knew I liked y-" you begin to say, but you are interrupted by a pair of lips on your own.

You smile, and enjoy this moment.
