Hannah's pov.
I can't do it anymore.
I look in the mirror at my face. They're all right I should just give up. I'm not worth the struggle I'm putting everyone through.
I look to the window, I could leave so easily and no one would know till morning.
My bags are packed sitting on my bed. I grab them and hop out my window.
Running is the easiest part, the nearest hotel is a mile or two away I thought as I ran. Just keep going. Just keep going. So I do.
Kyle's pov.
(A few days earlier)God she's so gorgeous I thought leaning against a wall.
She's out here practicing with her track team, but the way she runs...is just so graceful and fluid you can't help but watch her in awe.
"Give it up man she's not into you." Incomes my very supportive best friend, Mason.
Dresses like an asshole acts like an asshole. We're pretty much the same person.
"You don't know that, I've never even spoken to her maybe she feels the same way." I said still watching her run the track. "The way I feel about her, it's like electricity everytime she passes by me. There's no way she can't feel it and if she doesn't right now..she will"
"Okay man I'm your best friend, and I only want the best for you right?" I nod my head " Then I think we should call the cops cause you're insane." He says chuckling. I smack him in the head and we start "fighting".
Out of the corner of my eye I see Hannah sprinting twoard us I push Mason off of me.
I stand up so fast that I almost trip over Mason writhing on the ground in pain.
"Are you guys alright? I saw you over here fighting and got worried." She was looking at the ground occasionally her eyes flickered up to look at me.
They were the most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen, deep brown with an outer Gray ring, they were eyes that-
"um...helloo?" I snapped out of my creepy daze.
" Oh yeah sorry we're fine we were just play fighting not real so you don't have to worry."
My cheeks flush when I finish my nervous word jumble. She chuckles and shakes her head.
"Okay then as long as you're alright." She smiles at me and jogs to catch up with her team.
I help Mason up from the ground.
"Did you see her!! Oh my God she actually talked to me man. She was smiling and glowing and just awwww." I flop onto the bleachers. Just reliving the moment.
"Okay for one that glow it's called sweat and she just wanted to make sure we weren't killing each other dude how can you be so whipped over a girl you've talked to 3 times?"
"I don't know, but I love it" I smile up a Mason and he chuckles at me and punches my arm.
"Lets go before you have a heart attack from watching her." As we walk down the bleachers I look at Hannah again and she's staring right back at me.
She looks away and blushes.
I love the way she smiles and laughs at everything around
her like there's nothing wrong with the world. But to be honest the world is shit. It turned me into who I am, an asshole who smokes behind his parents back, drinks and breaks girls hearts cause the one girl he actually wants barley knows he exists.
Which seems to be impossible I mean as one of the popular guys you think you'd have any girl you want, and maybe I could..if I could talk to her.
I shake the thoughts of her out of my mind checking my phone I had six missed calls from Stacy my bitchy step mom with a margarita addiction. I don't call her back. I'm not in the mood to here another lecture about how I should come home and this is just a phase.
I trot down the steps to make dinner and hear Mason yells "oh shit!" I run back up the stars and mason looks at me with a sad look at just hands me his phone.
A tear slid down my cheek. The article on the phone said,
"Local track star Hannah Lantina went missing last night with out a sign or trace of where she went. There are no signs of a break in and the police are baffled. If you have seen this girl (picture top left) you are encouraged to call authoritys."
I never even had a real conversation with her but my heart hurts more than ever right now.
The girl I love is gone.
