"You should've seen the smirk on his face when he said his summer was going to be better when you're not around," I complained sensitively to Stan via Skype while munching on cheesy poofs. Stan was lying on his stomach, resting his chin on his folded arms. He seemed sad and hurt by Clyde's words.
Stan sighed through his nose, sadness washes over his face. "I don't understand why he said that...I thought we were friends." His lips tremble at the last words. "Has he always have this grudge against me?"
I frowned at my boyfriend's pained expression, wishing I were over there to comfort him. "Honestly, I have no idea, babe. I think it's because you're a better quarterback than he is."
"I guess that make sense."
I plopped a cheesy poof in my mouth and said, "Hey don't let that asshole get to you; you're stronger and better than he is." I could see a small smile spread on my hippie's mouth. I continued. "He doesn't know what an awesome person you are. I mean you play football and guitar! What does Clyde do other than football? Bang random chicks off the streets? Try to find a new mom?"
Stan giggled at my insult, smiling through his white teeth. God, I miss his cute smile.
"Aw, my hippie is smiling again," I remarked, grinning with cheddar powder on my mouth. "Did I made you feel better about Clyde being a loser and motherless?"
"You kind of went too far with the mother part, dude." Stan pointed at my insult.
"He should've made fun of my adorable boyfriend not being with me for summer."
Stan blushed and yawned softly. I guess he was out all day with his uncle playing football.
"I'm getting tired, Eric. I had a long day at the park and I need to--"
"Get plenty of sleep, Stanley. I'll Skype you tomorrow." I interrupt his sentence, wiping cheddar dust with the back of my hand.
Stan nodded sleepily and looked at me with tired eyes. "I love you, Eric."
I nodded back, smiling at his beautiful sleepy eyes. "I love you too, Stanley, and I will make sure no one makes fun of you."
